I feel that because she is so used to being a high level surgeon in control of pressure situations that she is struggling to hand over power and decision making to Dermot.

Another horrible wooden kitchen, god Dermot is the worst Kitchen designer ever.

    The island is beautiful.

Yes looking at the satellite dish position on the back of the house the sun will be rising to the right (looking in at house) of the extention putting the neighbours house in the shadows until after noon each day.

Just a bit of time travel included in the budget.

The garden is fabulous and the end of kitchen looking out on it.

I'd have liked to have seen a bit more of the last part of the build but they just skipped that bit.

That extension to the front is vile. I'd be bulling if I was a neighbour

The kitchen cupboards look like he stuck some wardrobes into the kitchen. 🤮

That cube out the front is vile. Lovely inside

I like the garden, very nice, but I feel the house has very little character. Their little fella is lovely

Really well done, love the back garden, only hate is the front.

Just tuned in. What an eyesore out front. I wouldn't fancy that next door to me

€620k excluding the room in the garden and the landscaping.

How much did they say for that kitchen?

    Near 30k?

    Saw them coming

the outside front is a bit of a eyesore

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,648 ✭✭✭appledrop

How the f**k did that cost 600k🤯🤯🤯🤯

The upstairs is very plain looking.

Ugh a bit cringe at the end, tearful praise of Dermot as Dermot laughs his way to the bank! The builder should have got some praise, he actually built it!!

But they got the house of their dreams and they're a nice family.

Nice bag garden for a teenage lad...!!!! Poor fella wouldn't want to be kicking a ball

Likely €700k by the time the garden and gym is included, is that a record spend for Room to Improve?

The fact there's a huge green right out the front was a big part of their thinking on that I think

You would wonder how planning is granted to buildings that change the aesthetics of an area so much. On the back no problem, but not on the front.

Wonder what the landscaping cost? Looked very expensive. Not the most child friendly back garden. Does the son even live there? She looked a bit surprised to see him when he ran in for the hug near the end.

What is the point of a budget when you’re gonna go 228k above!

I thought that was a lovely finished house.

Three nice good sized bedrooms with plenty of storage. Kitchen was such an improvement. Garden room/gym a great idea for growing boy. They'll need to break down a fence portion into the sisters though.

The front of the house wouldn't bother me. Plus a very handy bike store.

    I wish them well.

Was there any en-suite bathrooms ? Only got a glimpse of the main bathroom changed to a wet room.

I guess the young fella won't be spending too much time playing in the back garden. And he's several years away from getting use out of the gym.

Bike shed in the front won't get his bike in with what's already there.

I like the interior, but not the island. Looks very cold and clinical.
