Does it really matter who takes the corners?? Only 1% of corners result in a direct goal, while 3% result in an indirect goal. Corners are more dangerous for the attacking team these days it gives the defending team a chance to counter attack.

Wonder how long KDB will be out for?

Wondering much the same myself. Not to be crass but is there an obvious beneficiary who is the main like for like replacement in the City team?

Cellabos to McGinn done. Easy transfer before WC during the break.

Mahrez is the biggest beneficiary. He’ll get more game time and if he was at any other club I’d have him in my team.

    I’m going for that move

Does anyone know what Son's itinerary looks like for international break?

Considering Salah to Son but need to be sure Son will be back and well rested enough to start v Watford in GW9

No idea on his personal travel plans but...

The Thursday they're at home against Sri Lanka. Will he play 90?

Then Tuesday morning, our time, away against North Korea. I thinks he's plenty of recovery time there. Spurs need him too.

I doubt Mahrez will benefit at all from an injury to KDB. Mahrez is a winger and is in direct competition with Bilva and Sterling. Both of whom have been rested recently so Mahrez is likely to be rotated out soon. Dilva and Gundog are the beneficiaries as they are CMs.

It certainly isn't worth transferring KDB out until we get more news. Even if he misses this weekends game, he could be back for the following PL game which is a full three weeks after he sustained the injury due to int break. If he missed one GW you can write that off as that is a semi-regular occurrence with Pep anyway.

I might be dredging this week. Down in 4.4 midfielder zone to drop Hayden for now and gaining 0.1 I need for another move I want to make.

Boils down to Dendoncker and Nakamba. Neither likely to do anything and either will sit on my bench but Dendoncker's big head and slightly more adventurous positioning on the pitch would seem to demand him. He has less of a history for yellow cards too.

Is there anything I'm missing about Marvelous Nakamba?

Who would you start next week - Saka or Cantwell?

Cantwell for me. Norwich seem fairly potent at home.

I have Nakamba in my team but that is because I needed a 4.4 mid and he was the only one guaranteed of minutes when I was making transfers a few weeks ago.

A choice between Nakamba and Dendoncker I would definitely go with Dend. He has more license to go forward in Wolves’ attacks whereas Nakamba is just basically a player that will protect the back four.

Looks good. Think I’ll go with him and Mahrez this week for Salah and Siggy.

Considering KDB to Son depending on the injury news later in the week. Otherwise I will be holding.

Pep basically said KDB will only be out for Wolves in the post match presser

What would ye think of Mane->Mahrez?

I'd say Mahrez is due a rest. He has played 90 mins in four of the last five while Sterling and Bilva have gotten rests. Mahrez is also likely to see plenty of game time in the int break.

The unknown quantity is the misconduct charge Bilva is facing, does Pep keep him out of the spotlight this weekend? If Bilva gets a decent suspension from the misconduct charge then bringing in Mahrez would be a good move but personally, I'd be waiting to see how that pans out first.

At the end of my tether with City rotation...what's the point in having expensive assets if you can't trust them with the armband or even consistent minutes....got stung recently with both Sterling and Aguero.

Have the armband on Aguero right now but after last night surely there's doubts about his gametime this weekend.....slowly building towards a rage transfer of Auba in

Wonder if it will be longer though? Has a history of injuries.

Strongly considering a move to Mahrez. He's been superb lately and is arguably making himself hard to leave out of the teamsheet. Even if he's only playing 2 in 3 he's really likely to get double figures in one of those matches. The you have Bernardo Silva whose head may not be 100% right now and who is also facing a possible ban which maybe minimizes Mahrez's rotation risk further.

Wonder how long this will be hanging over Bilva.

I’d agree Mahrez would be a good option but only if Bilva is confirmed out.

Will it drag on or be resolved before the weekend ?

His deadline to appeal isn’t til next week. He will likely appeal based on the noises coming out of City so I don’t expect it to come into effect this weekend.

has anyone seen much of Haller lately ? I have the money to move him on for Kun, but he has nice fixtures coming.

Might cling to KDB. He still has a small chance of making the bench against Watford I think but he's too important to be messing around with getting him out and in.

Though in recent seasons when I turn my nose up at the idea of transfering someone out to get them back a week later the popular 1 week punt rakes in the points. Maybe it's just selective memory.

    KDB -> Mahrez
    Firmino -> Auba
    (-4)

    worth it?

If you will want KDB back, then no if you've gained good value on him (price rises). Effective cost to buy him back might hurt you.

I actually got on board with him late, so would 'only' lose 0.1, so not the worst.
I was planning on transferring out TAA after this week anyways for someone like Tomori, so would have plenty money ITB to transfer back Mahrez -> KDB if needed, albeit another -4.

    Keeping KDB.
    Hayden to Guendouzi for safety...

Tomori assist tonight and on a way to another rise so using free transfer to get him in now. Was going to bank to have two next week but bench is too light for this week with recent injury updates.

Digne has to go. Not willing to trust him playing against Burnley so better to have a cheaper defender and invest the money elsewhere.
