    Ok. That is your opinion.

I'm not a cheerleader for trump nor am I someone who enjoys insulting him.

The SOTU was perfectly fine in my opinion (especially considering Trumps penchant for going off script) and I think you'd have to admit, because of your bias, nothing he could have said would have been acceptable to you.

As has been REPEATEDLY mentioned to me, Pelosi and her antics are the talking point now. It's a shame then because all of the lies that you have mentioned will now be footnotes.

Pelosi made a tit of herself and trump came across better for her antics.

    A definite own-goal

it was perfectly fine despite the half-truths and outright lies?

Have you ever seen a SOTU that contained no lies?

If Trump came on TV and declared the that grass is green I would look out the window to check if he is lying.

can you point out the bit in taht where a crime was alleged?
I don't follow you. I was noting the reaction in the 'court of public opinion.' And it is apparently evident with Trump's approval ratings going up and hitting 49%.

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

we were talking about your nonsensical allegation of a crime committed by Pelosi that even the most stupid individual could figure out was nonsense in a matter of seconds. do you still think there was any truth to it?

And then claim it was just another of Trump's many lies because this time of the year the grass tends to be more on the brown side?

it is the quantity contained within that was exceptional. pretty much everything he says is either an outright lie or a half-truth. we were up to 16,000 lies by trump so far in his presidency the last time i checked. But yet somehow you think his speech was perfectly fine. you clearly have much lower standards than i do.

    Mine is green,

Anyway, your thoughts on Trump tearing up official documents? Should he get 3 years in jail?

Well no, in 5 seconds she highlighted what Trumps speech was.

Now for ever more it will be a meme, talked about and discussed.

The exact same thing she did last year.

Get your head out of the Bad Orange MAns Ass for a second and think things logically lad and stop accusing others of having bias.

He was rage tweeting about her Christmas day, it's obvious she has his number.

    "pray for the president".

    Absolute genius.

    Not at all.

I do think that his speech was fine. Obama, Bush, Clinton et al were as adept at passing off half truths as Trump is. The level of scrutiny has been unprecedented though. It comes with the job that half truths are the majority of your utterances. A politician couldn't do their job if they were always honest.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy that people are concerned with facts these days. I just find it surprising that so many people have only become concerned about it in the last 4 years.

Let's see... So Trump’s has a habit of ripping up papers when he’s done with them. So staff then tape them back together for him in order to make sure that the president isn’t violating the law and they are sent to the National Archives to be properly filed away. Even newspaper clipping where Trump scribbled something on them. Seems no laws broken. Did Nancy’s staff do the same? If so, then perhaps she didn't break any laws. But we know the filed complaint is just a stunt to make her look even worse than she already does in all this... and it seems to be working.

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

    Not surprising.

What were the most egregious lies told in the latest SOTU in your opinion?

    From your earlier post
§2071. Concealment, removal, or mutilation generally

    (a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

    (b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term "office" does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.

So surely you think Trump.should face the consequences right? Or are you going to show your double standards yet again?

You do realize that Politifact’s factcheckers tend to be biased against republicans and often makes judgements on matters of opinion rather than matters of "fact."

Trump is ranting and raving again about the impeachment.
Speaking today from the White House, President Trump said "it helped when we won 197-0."

    Work that one out!

It isn't the first time she made Trump the footnote in the Presidents State of the Union speech.
Lets clear something up first. I thoroughly dislike Trump and want him gone.
If you can't make out who I'm talking about when to be made it very clear then no point continuing this discussion.

Trump's speech or Pelosi tearing up papers. If it's the latter then you have no clue about public perception.

I'll tell you what would be a genius move would be for one of the candidates to go out and criticise Pelosi. It wouldn't hinder Sanders, Warren or Yang to do that as she isn't going to support them anyways.

You completely misunderstood the question, but that's fine.

Public Perception you say? Trump got voted in as POTUS by 60 odd million people.

He bragged about sexually assaulting women, he raw dogged and paid off porn stars, openly mocked a dead soldiers family, open mocked someone with a disability, etc, etc, etc.

But you are outraged over big bad Nancy tearing up some sheets?

    Okay then.

It might help. But I doubt any candidate will. I don’t seem to understand why so many here refuse to understand that all the impeachment farce and Pelosi’s antics did was deliver Trump record high approval ratings and unite Republicans around him.

And why do democrats think hating Trump is the message that will win them back the presidency? What have the Democrats got to offer in place of Trump’s optimistic message of the Great American Comeback? Top that with the fact that Biden is sinking hard which leaves the door open to unelectable socialists, a left-wing too-young ex-mayor who did nothing for his city, and a guy who thinks he can buy the presidency.

The DNC is in for a civil war at their convention in July and have no plan on how to deal with it.

Again you fail to understand public perception. This is something you'd expect from Donald Trump and not from a highly respected Democrat.
The Democrats have to stay on the other side of the line, getting down and dirty is the best way to lose this election.
I'm disgusted by what she did because it's dragging the democratic party into the gutter. I'm not happy with the field of candidates. I'm of the opinion already that none of the leading candidates will beat Trump. Lowering the whole thing into the gutter imo makes it even less likely.
