How come Joe is on the sideline?

He came to show his concern for Watson it appeared.

Probably sideline is between coaches booth and changing room.

Finn Russell is vastly over rated. He can't control a game.

Bit harsh. Playing behind a back that looks outmatched.

He came down to ask about Watson.

If Sexton cant even kick he should not be back out for the 2nd half, no risks needed.

Not true he’s a fine player, needs a pack in front of him

Sexton not fit enough to fit, is it not a risk to keep him on? Take him off and get a fit no. 10 on

I have no right to ask this but can we keep the veiled "licence fee" moaning out of this thread please.

Itv get no licence fee. Commentary is seamless. :)

Dissapointing not to get that kick,

19-3 is still a great position - so long as Scotland don't come out like they did against England back in March

Wanted to start giving lads work ons as soon as they stepped off the pitch.

Aki went for a HIA. POM took a knock.

    POM carrying his shoulder apparently.

A decision may have to be made on Henshaw tomorrow if Aki and Henshaw are out next week.

Our tight 5 are far superior to Scotland's which is giving our backrow free reign. Murray back approaching his best too.

    Sexton off now please.

Pity we didn’t get those 3 points. Worry that Johnny can’t kick.

A lot of good from Ireland but still plenty to work on. Haven’t converted 3 breaks into points where we then have away possession.

    Looking good in defense.

Great half from us. Lots of variation in attack and great defence that isn't giving Scotland a chance to settle.

One criticism is that we've missed 5 points from kicks. Scotland can score from anywhere if they get some momentum. We need to pull further away.

Great half. But worried that we have lost Aki and POM and possibly Sexton. The Scots will come out all fired up at half time and we need strong leaders for the first 10 min. Get over that and we should be home.

Get Sexton off. This Irish team won't throw it away from here. We need him going forward. No point having him on as a passenger.

Don't think we'll panic much over Japan.

Scottish twitter already in meltdown on the Ritchie injury.
If coming in at the side was punishable then Barclay, Gray and Dell would have been goosed.

    Not yet

I appreciate our mindset and defence are "different", but France almost blew a similar lead yesterday.

    This isn't won yet

Meh, that stuff is expected when you are getting pumped. People look for something to latch on to

    Brilliant first half.

Further endorsing the madness of people suggesting we might not get out of the pool.

Another couple of tries after half time would be perfect.

It does show Scotlands level, as they have been overmatched for number of years now.

It's worrying we haven't capitalised on sexton not playing. Good to see our line out working but missing the creativity we have been seeing from Russell recently. Ireland sublime as usual. Big test now for Scotland.

Great 1st Half, hope it continues into the 2nd half

    Clinical first half from Ireland.

In some ways it's a shame that they've had the rub of the green on a lot of things, particularly around the tries. They will be going into the quarters having been put under zero pressure.

On RTE James Ryan's province is Leinter.

The Irish tight 5 have been phenomenal.

I've said it a few times, but everytime Ryan and Henderson play together we have been awesome.

    Still 40 mins to go.

Oh and Murray is showing that form is temporary etc etc...
