Worked security once in a department store, caught male staff member sniffing sanitary pads out of the bin in female toilets after a complaint. Nearly puked.....it was talked about for months afterwards.

Another place I worked (call centre), a female scobie wan kenobi got fired for threatening some old fella on a call. She stormed out of building and took a massive **** on the Director of ops car bonnet. When she saw she had an audience, she grabbed some of it and jammed it under his door handles as well :(

I would love to see a post from an Architect's office near Baggot St.......
I did hear that particular architect had a bit of a spat with a colleague in the pub after work one Friday evening. When they came into work Monday morning, they found that someone had smashed up a few monitors in the office.

Van driver i used to work with bailed on his Mrs and kids with some woman,

    completely blanked them.

A few weeks after this happened there was a awful smell in the offices, they couldnt get rid of it for about a week.
they found a package adressed to him that was in the postroom, the smell was coming out of it.
His Mrs has emptied all the fish out of his aquarium and posted them to him in the office.
They had sat there for about 2-3 weeks rotting in the middile of summer.

Previous company, guy in the US office uploaded revenge porn to pornhub after a nasty breakup and ended up getting sued by his ex and all over the US tabloids. They went to town on him, digging up his facebook photos and incriminating pics from his frat house days etc. He laid low for a few months and came back in when the storm had passed, this time engaged to the same woman! Not really a scandal but I used to work as an SNA for a short while, I worked temporarily in a school where the principal had employed his wife and a load of his other relatives and friends as teachers and sna's in the school who he gave special treatment to. This treatment included not marking them out when they missed days so they would still get paid, some missed weeks at a time, sometimes he'd get in subs but pay them from the school funds so the board of education wouldnt know the staff were missing days. Subs where brought in and not even told what classes they would be having or where they were supposed to be, they ended up being dumped in random classes with nothing prepared and then bullied by management and staff for not being prepared.. for classes they didnt know they would be teaching. All the while the kids where left with no structure or suitable classes.
He'd organise Erasmus trips away and pick himself, his wife and some of his other friends to go, these trips where in truth fully paid holidays abroad for him, his wife and friends to foreign sunny countries.
Some staff members were being bullied by the principals wife and friends he employed in the school but the principal wouldnt do anything, promoted one of them to a higher, much better paid position which wasnt needed in the school as the school was tiny, to make better paid jobs for his friends in the school he upped the number of kids taken into the school, he took a load of kids that no other school would take, kids with serious behavior issues that staff wearnt able to or trained to deal with and dumped them in the classes of the staff not in his circle.
The staff member given the higher position bullied other staff members, screamed at them and created needless extra work loads and paper work.
His wife couldnt get a permanent job anywhere else only this school, she was horrible to the kids, parents even had to come in and complain about her but nothing was done.
Whenever inspectors or parents where coming to the school notes with positive affirmations where stuck to doors and in the staff room to make it look like the school had a positive atmosphere, in reality, bullying was an everyday occurrence between staff members, staff would regularly go on sick leave because the atmosphere in the school was so unbearable. The entire school would be decorated with childrens work and staff would put up decorative notice boards to impress the inspectors. Management would walk with inspectors around the school directing them to the best classes.
It was all a big performance. Worst place ive ever worked.

It was crazy to see what goes on in schools, I actually left childcare assisting after that job.

So, a company that employs van drivers, and leaves packages lying around the office for 2-3 weeks for no apparent reason

    Fastway or DPD? :D

    Life ain't always empty.

catching my boss having sex with a new girl

Reminds me when I used to work in a big call centre years ago. We were in teams of 6-8 and sat around these big circular tables. Anyways one day my team couldnt sit at the usual table so were spread across the floor.
I just so happened to be sat the closest towards the head honcho's offices. Door is open and he is on the phone clearly to one of his mates. Starts saying (with a very loud voice) "take the fuc*ing job. you be mad if you dont. The amount of pussy you'll get!" - Funny as two of the team leaders who worked there were shagging two fine looking women that they were over.

Another funny one is when I first started there, the girl working in HR said don't mess around with your phones (this was in induction training) She went on to say how someone used the desk phone and called the companies reception and said there was a bomb in the building. Que everyone being evacuated. To quote her "if he only used his mobile instead he wouldnt have been caught" - he was let go as you would expect :pac:

There was a case a few years ago of a young fella who was so hungover that to get out of going to work, he paid his friend to ring the guards saying he was in ISIS and had planted bombs around his work-place.

It was in Intel where 4000 had to be evacuated, a motorway was shutdown and it disrupted air traffic control.

It was a January morning aswell I think and the evacuated workers weren't allowed go back to their cars.

The link doesn't say if he got jail time or not but the friend who made the call only got community service.

What a pair of morons. If they pulled a stunt like that in the states they would definitely be getting jail time. The friend sounds like a right wanker.
He was foiled when he ended up in a police station after refusing to pay his taxi fare one evening.

The coppers recognised his voice from the hoax call and nicked him.

Who was the Chairperson? Who were the parent and teacher nominees on the Board of Management? What happened with the direct survey of parents carried out as part of the inspection?

I'm not sure that 'positive affirmations stuck to the door' are really that impressive to inspectors.

I dont know, I was just an sna in the school, we wearnt given any of that kind of information but they were likely friends of the principal or the principal manipulated the situation to suit himself. The level of performance, nepotism and corruption was shocking.

You don't need to be 'given' that kind of information. It is in the public domain.

I found that very difficult to believe. A principal may be able to fool a BOM to an extent but inspectors, no.

    Sounds very suspect …. imo.

So all the Principals friends and relatives happened to be teachers, and he gave them jobs?
Or they weren't teachers and he still hired them as teachers?

Sorry, but the more I read of that, the less I believed it ….

I've heard of similar in rural schools here in the UK. A lot of that rings true - here schools get more for taking disadvantaged children, and some schools will aim to take more in to bolster the budget, especially when most schools have privatised canteens, privatised facilities management, privatised cover teachers systems - there is big potential for abuse and brown envelopes.

Are there really 30ish kids with serious behaviour problems within travelling distance looking for school places?

Have actually heard of this behaviour in another school in a city in the south east. The carry on is shocking.

    Who was the Chairperson?

Parish priest I'll bet. You'll find the principal will be licking the PP's hole every Sunday mass
Who were the parent and teacher nominees on the Board of Management?

The "parent" representatives probably had their kids graduate from there sometime around 1985. They'll be holy joes too. The teacher nominees... now let me guess who they might be related to?

    Life ain't always empty.
