parts of Valencia have had 400mm of rain fall over the past 24 hours, lots of cars washed away.

Met Eireann spoke of uncertainty with where it would rain on Sunday and the amounts. Looks like a weak cold front making very slow progress into an area of Hp to the S of Ireland. Possibly stalling for a time or just crawling along. Cloudy for most with a possible clearance in the NW, N later in the afternoon.

Oh no rubbish. That's disappointing. Told few people weekend to be good weather. Looks a bit damp for Croke Park Sunday.

Lovely night.... bright moon and dramatic cloudscapes, then a myriad stars. Crisply chilly but not a breath of a breeze..Utterly silent.

Went out thinking a lovely walk morning! So still the midges are stinging constantly and the pollen count is high! Between the pain and the sneezing...

Not the day for rhapsodising re the sky !

Very chill; in sheltered lanes the verges are white with hoar. Seen this a few weeks ago too. Clear white.

So a spectator day for me but lovely to look at.. from safety!

Cool sunny morning with a low of 4.6c in Kildare

Uncertainty often means less rain for NW. Maybe our daily morning drizzle bar today

Met Eireann forecast for wk/e & next week. Looks good, if a bit late.

"Sunday night will be mainly dry, with just a few spots of light rain or drizzle at first, mainly in parts of the south. Mist and fog patches will form in light winds. Min. 5 to 9 Celsius generally, but milder in the south.

Monday: Mainly dry, with some bright or sunny spells developing. Maximum temperatures 15 to 19 Celsius, in light northwest or variable breezes.

Tuesday to Sunday, inclusive: Current indications are for dry, settled weather, with high pressure dominating. There will be some sunny intervals each day, with mostly light variable winds. Temperatures around normal at first, ranging between 15 and 19 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday, but it will become a little milder after midweek, with values of 16 to 20 Celsius. Nights will be cool, with some mist and fog patches."

Don't worry, the replay is tomorrow at 6pm! (and the Met Eireann app says a high of 25 degrees in Dublin at 5pm, 23 at 6pm)

That's right but the Ladies All-Ireland Football is in Croke Park Sunday. Am I reading that rain is on the cards mid-country on Sunday?
Anyway may enjoy today and tomorrow. Bright and fresh in Meath with the sun breaking through at times. Lovely.

Perfect summer afternoon here. Been meandering in the back field with three of the cats, who were in wild mode, racing and leaping in the warm sun. Sheer joie de vivre. echoing the day

Picking blackberries but distracted by deep bright blue ocean and cloud dappled skies. Utter perfection. all is still summer; flowers and green grass. Warm and a gentle breeze.

    west mayo; offshore paradise
