Not sure if you posted that as a deliberate joke or not, but that's not from Psycho!

    The crow

A History of Violence is a brilliant film. One of my all time favourites. I love it. But, it's not a horror. I'd give you the other two as horrors (though I don't like them). And I'm allowed to say that because ...

Great stuff Necro. Sorry I couldn't stay up. You did brilliantly.

    3/5 of mine were chosen:

    The Mist
    Psycho
    Green Room

I thought The Sixth Sense would have been picked. I was surprised that it wasn't.

My fifth was Dog Soldiers, but was less surprised at that being included. But it's a great, fun, horror.

There were dozens I could have included either though.

I'm generally not a fan of Werewolf movies. But that, and An American Werewolf in London were both great. Both were a bit light-hearted in tone though, didn't take themselves that seriously.

And An American Werewolf was directed by John Landis who also did The Blues Brothers, so it is bound to be great!!

I wonder does the format need a bit of tweaking to be more inclusive of all the entries. Have three or four movies face off in the first round or something (thanks tusk for the idea)

Greatest Showman ftw win surely? Though knowing boards something skirting the lines of the genre something like A Goofy Movie will probably win :pac:

Is there anything to be said for running those bigger head to heads only to earn the 1 vote spots that are currently randomised? That gives those films more legitimacy in their inclusion. You could also then throw in any films from, say, the Empire top 10 (genre) movies that didn't get a vote so any non-voting Johnnie come lately experts can see that the winner, however undeserving in their considered opinion, beat down the classics fair and square?

West Side Story would win you heathen!

Yeah it might be fairer than the current way.

So say you had 13 movies with multiple entries, you could run off the remainder to get the other 19 places.

"Vot do zhoo mean, anothoh challenger apprrrroaching...?"

    eI4vHpl.gif

(Actually you'd have to clearly define that having a kick ass soundtrack that's integral to the ebb and flow of the movie isn't enough, the characters have to sing the songs... Otherwise Flash would win all the competition's : best sci fi, best horror (not ze bore vurms!), Best musical and best use of "Gordon's alive??" in a supporting role.)

Sounds like there's a wide range of opinions on this. If only there were some kind of fair established democratic process to help us decide.......

    you had 60 film with 13 multiple entries, so 60 / 13 4 remainder 8

so, 8 groups of 5 and 5 groups of 4.

players can pick best 3 from each group.

if you want 16, then top from each group and best 3 runner ups.
if you want 32, the top two from each group with 6 runner ups.

then into knockout stage, every movie had a chance.
