Can you let bygones be bygones?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Yes my life's too full for that. I dont bother pointing out to idiots that they are idiots. I just leave them and tbeir cr*p behind. I'd never respect them again though. I can be very nice to people who are nothing to me.

    Do you like any sweets?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

It's a day off for my boyfriend. We always spend Thursday together. Mini road trip, picnic, catch up with/introduce friends.

    Do you own any antiques?

Do you have any sets of fine china?

Ever seen something so surprising you couldn't believe your own eyes?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,132 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

Yes, about ten years ago I was driving near my house one Sunday, rural roads, and there gliding quite low over a field was a hot air balloon with people looking out over the side. I stayed parallel with them only for a few seconds but then I lost them when I round a bend. Was very strange.

Do you have anything on your “to do” list for tomorrow?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,132 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

Yes, tomorrow is a day off work so I'm using it to finish my Christmas shopping. I'm quite excited!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,328 ✭✭✭Upforthematch

Ah yeah some great ones out there.

    What is your proudest moment?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,084 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

It’s a good question and a hard one to answer. The one that stands out to me right now is that I wrote something once that was published in the Irish times. I was delighted with that as had always done so badly at English in school for the simple reason that I cannot spell due to mild dyslexia. And when I was growing up you were marked down in English exams if you had bad spelling. So to have my way with words recognized like that made me very proud.

If your car got a flat Tyre would you be able to change the wheel yourself or need to call help?

Book that represents me: the time travellers wife (here one minute, vanishes for work the next, haha)

I rarely read autobiographies but I recently read a biography with the personal diary written by Jane Welsh Carlisle and I really enjoyed it.

I don't really watch documentarirs/any tv but try to listen to BBC podcasts when I can.

Proudest moment, helping & believing in someone deemed hopeless and seeing them reach their potential.

    I can change a tyre.

Have you ever driven off road?

Have you ever driven off road?
Yes , by a young teenager fella in tractor with a full silage trailer. He couldn't stop so I took to a gap that fortunately was there.
Ever have a bad break up ?

Only had one breakup, it was overdue, I'd half done it about 20 times and didn't want to be there. The chap did it in the end. Not bad as such.
Possibly bad for those I left over the years, but like to think I wasn't callous. I'm afraid I was though.

Any historical 'thinkers' you admire ?
