    Michael Douglas/Sean Penn/Alec Baldwin/Joaquin Phoenix-don't make me choose please!

What are your plans for tomorrow?

    Work from dawn till dusk.

If you could spend 1000 on one item what would it be?

    Do you eat it often?

    No.

Do you ever take a trip to far-off places on Google Maps?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,210 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

That kind of thing wouldn't interest me tbh.

Do you think gay Byrne should get a state funeral?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

No, not at all. He was an entertainer – not a statesman.

Are you having a good day so far?

Are you having a good day so far?

Solidly mediocre with shades of ****ness and a flirtation of productivity.

If you could do any job in the world what would it be?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

My favourite makey up job would be a Money Fritterer.
In real life though I would make a great Wine taster.

When will you start thinking about what Christmas presents to buy people?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,210 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

    The 24th of December

    Do you like Christmas?

Love it. Hate the contemporary over-commercialisation and two month run in however. More and more becoming a time for wanton gluttony and companies disingenuously ramming as much products as possible down your throat at all costs in the short space of time. Some of the magic of it is gone for me.

    Ever been to a rave?

A few. Only the ones in interesting locations, abandoned ruibs by a lake. Like a lot of things, they're good for a change of scene/atmosphere but I never lived for them.

What's something interesting to do on a Tuesday night, that isn't the pub?

Anal. (I'm sorry but it was right there.)

Top 3 dinner party guests? (Living or dead.)

Nigella (for the cooking), Peter Sellars (for the stories) and Oliver Reid (for the party).

What would you ask Nigella to cook?

What would you ask Nigella to cook?

Some kind of creamy mushroom risotto with sticky toffee pudding for after.

It would be a decadent affair.

Who would you punch in the face given the opportunity?

Yes, I would say Nigella's puddings taste great. :pac:
I would like to punch Donald Trump and then read him tweet about it.

Would you be able to spend an hour in his company without wretching?

Yeah , but only because I have a strong stomach.
Does anyone in your house believe in Santa claus ?

Probably. It would be an interesting dynamic having a conversation with someone you hold in utter contempt and the absurdity of that person also being the most powerful person on Earth.

Would you beat your 18 year old self in a fight?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,210 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Maybe in a sumo wrestling fight :pac:

    Do you hold grudges?

    Do you hold grudges?

Yes. Not petty grudges but when it comes to my friends I’m loyal to a fault - I’d do anything for them and would never do anything I thought would hurt them, so when a close friend betrays me it’s particularly painful and I remember it for a long long time, though I wouldn’t make it explicitly clear.

What’s a word in another language that you love? and what does it mean?

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,585 ✭✭✭✭The Princess Bride

Prestidigitateur- conjurer in french, I love this word, but then, I love french a lot.

    Same question?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Perdu. Old French for something hidden from sight and/or dangerous.

3 dinner party guests? I can think of 3 for every night of the week but tonight: two of my oldest friends, plus a resistance fighter from WW2. Always found the Maquis fascinating, and the Polish resistance.

Last time you got lost (geographically)?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,648 ✭✭✭honeybear

I have no sense of direction so getting lost is quite a regular occurrence. It’s funny because where I live, I get asked for directions a lot as I’m always out walking.

Last time you gave a hitchhiker a lift?

  • Registered Users Posts: 954 ✭✭✭Skybirdjb

Never but I do remember hitch hiking when I was young with my dad after he had no transport when we were after a horrible crash in his van

Most embarrassing song u love ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

I'm glad it's not just me Honeybear. The first thing to go if I'm tired is my sense of direction. I can get lost in a building with fairly visible exits and then when someone points them out I wonder how I didn't see them.

I'm never embarrassed by my unashamedly crap I mean diverse taste in music! :) Bryan Adams maybe?

Do you own an Ordnance Survey map?

  • Registered Users Posts: 954 ✭✭✭Skybirdjb

Used to love maps when I was in the scouts but I don’t own any now

Do you think it will snow this year ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

Yes. I am absolutely sure of getting snow this year. So sure that I have invested in a nice new pair of gloves.

Do you wear the full winter gear – hat, scarf and gloves….or just brave the cold with a good honest coat?
