I see GPU pricing has settled a bit now, even seeing discounts, not at MSRP but probably about as good as can be expected given the silly prices these days.

Cant make my mind up weather to go for the Sapphire Nitro+ or Pulse 9070 XT. Not much in it price wise, main concern os quietness. Id rather have a quieter card over a couple of percent better performance but noisy. The Pulse seems to do well in this respect.

Whichever is cheaper, I had a Nitro+ but returned it cause if had awful coil whine but the fans were very quiet if you got one without coil whine it would be almost silent

    Pulse or Pure.

    I wouldn't use the 12VHPWR connector of the Nitro+.

    Too much potential for damage.

Also my Pure is silent AF

After watching the recent hardware unboxed video comparing 9070 XT models ive decided to go with either the XFX Mercury OC or the Sapphire Nitro+.

Only thing putting me off the Nitro+ is the 12VHPWR connector, i am wondering though given the wattage the card uses it may not be an issue?

Other than that they seem to be pretty even in terms of price/perfromance

I wouldn't touch anything with that connector personally. Nvidia are going to make it hard to avoid because the alternative is admitting they were wrong.

I really like the look of thew 9070XT in general, im tempted but tricky to justify it just yet as my rtx4070 is still doing great for 1440P.

    Get Sapphire Pulse or Pure.

Both use regular 2x8-pin for power & are smaller than XFX Mercury.

Have the nitro myself, great card and no issues (so far) with the connector, can't imagine there will be as it's not pulling anywhere near the limit of the cable unlike 5090s

    Im wondering if my

CORSAIR 750W RMe Modular 80 Plus Gold will be sufficient for a 9070XT?

Im thinking it should be fine.

    Current spec

    7800X3D
    RTX 4070
    32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 5600MHz
    2X 2TB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2

I've been using Sapphire Pure 9070 XT with Corsair SF750 Platinum for months now.

1x power cable (pig-tail), all good.

Just grabbed the Nitro+, last Sapphire card I had was a 7950 Vapor-X, so good I ended up crossfiring with another one.

Hoping for no coil whine but will have to see. As for the 12VHPWR connector, ill take the risk, ill most likely undervolt as well
