Buy any tract of land that comes up for sale in rural areas, put it all into a land trust for perpetuity so it can never be sold and "developed". Turn it into permaculture food forests. Plant native species of trees in every county. Re-wild.

Have animal sanctuaries wherever I could establish them.

Buy a big plot of land in West Cork or Wicklow and self build my dream cob house and permaculture garden. Set up an eco-village with like minded people. No property ownership or private renting, just monthly fees to cover costs.

Have some farm animals and be as self sufficient in food as possible.

Buy a €1 old house and Schrebergarten (like an allotment but with little huts to cook or just relax) in the town in east Germany where my guy is from and renovate it. Sell his business in the west if he wants, and move there. Divide our time between Ireland and Germany according to the seasons.

Build a craft workshop for myself in each property and the same for my partner for whatever he would like to make/fix/build/sell.

Import a Trabant just because I like them and refit it. Buy an electric van and another GDR made Simson moped for myself (my guy has one) and use them as our run arounds.

Pay off any friends debts and make sure they're well taken care of.

In Paris I saw a bookshop and upstairs in the little flats there are young and struggling artists and writers

They get to live on no rent or dirt cheap rent (these aren’t luxury flats) and in return do some hours in the bookshop each week

The shop also makes at least some money Id assume, super busy

Seems a noble way to give back to me

Sounds like Shakespeare and Company. Where Joyce published Ulysses.

By you saying if money wasn't a problem you mean winning the euromillions or something like that. I'd buy my parents house and then move to the Czech Republic and live there. I've been to the Czech republic three times and I just loved the feel of the place. I mean that is obviously pie in the sky stuff and wont ever happen.

If I had money I’d sit at home reading the papers looking for articles/listening to radio about couples looking for money to help their sick children.

The world is full of greed. People just collecting ‘things’. Filling their houses with junk.

You could make so many families happy.
