Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hogg tried to go for the big spiral, allowed McGrath to get to him and left the ball spinning in the ingoal area, lovely stuff

Is it just me or is McGrath is a really poor boxkicker? Last couple of games he's been brutal

Hogg should have been much deeper there.

His mistake was going for the Hollywood spiral, meant he had to step into the kick and put the ball in front of him as opposed to his side.

    Glasgow butchered a try there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,223 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Both sides scores are coming from the others mistakes. Leinster need to slow the game down a tad.

It's usually a strength of his. Though he's better at launching constables off them than clearing to touch from the 22. I don't know if it's that he's more conservative but he doesn't get great distance on them.

Liam Toland is like that guy you get stuck chatting to at a wedding or party who just talks bollox for 30 minutes while you can't get away.

Are we playing offside in the final?

Oh no. I hope that isnt as bad as it sounds.

Fraser Brown's RWC could be gone. Rotten luck.

Replay horrific. Legs don't fold like that.

Similar scenario to the Leavy injury.

Too common now. Need to reduce the size and power of players, I'm not going to keep watching lads have their legs blown to bits.

We're really going to miss Healy when he's gone.

    Just magnificent.

Hopefully that kick eases Sexton into the game.

Richly deserved, Leinsters best player since the 6N.

Amazing to think there's a fair chance he'll finish his career without a Lions test cap.

Leister player tackled off the ball when diving for the ball after it popped out of the ruck.

    How was that allowed?

Rather a lot of bad rugby from Jonny this season. So good has he been over the years, you kind tend to give him a pass. But how often does he put in a good game these days ? Is he spent as a top player ?

Johnny needs to take one step back on these plays.... He's not allowing for the weather and is under Fierce pressure when he's on the ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,223 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Ringrose is having a fabulous game in defence. He'll be down for quite a few missed tackles, but that's down to him reading the play so well, rushing up and making a hit far behind the Glasgow gain line. He isn't always holding the tackle, but he's making the hit and disrupting Glasgow's attack.

Hope I'm not tempting fate now.

The booing is a bit much.

Toulouse and Saracens Sexton had good games, great game against Toulouse

    Is he spent? No

Good to take a lead into half time. Felt we started to control the game in the final 15 of the half. Need a score early into the second half.

  • Registered Users Posts: 589 ✭✭✭baas baa

There was some fantastic defence in that passage. Leinster definitely on top now.

    Great defence from Leinster.
Good to go in leading at HT.

Leinster should be ahead by more but making silly mistakes

    Owens having another poor match....

A lot of huff and puff out of Glasgow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

This is great to watch. I feel Leinster should have enough to close it out. Hastings' butchery could prove costly.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,920 ✭✭✭✭stephen_n

Leinster very poor so far, Sexton is way off the mark today. Glasgow should really have capitalized more on our poor performance. Hopefully the second half shows a marked improvement in accuracy from Leinster.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Conan 10-33m. He is Ireland's best #8 now.

Fardy Ryan and Ruddock have 38 tackles between them.

McGrath did very well on the charge down try. The speed from the mark was great , made the block and then didnt get white line fever and try jump on the ball before Ringrose got the try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,223 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Glasgow are excellent at creating momentum from ball that's pretty much dead. Leinster need to be much better in possession. I don't think the strategy of kicking has been a bad one, but it's been poorly executed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,221 ✭✭✭crisco10

Ironically in the first 20 leister were breaking more contestable box kicks back on their side. But it was leading to nothing.

Second part of half, not as contestable but leister defence better so it works better

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Few of those at the game saying on Twitter Leinster playing into the wind in first half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,500 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

    The conditions look horrible tbf.

They're dreadful here alright. The rain and wind are changing direction constantly. Leinster were playing against it generally for the first half though.

Booing is ridiculous. Soccer fans clearly in alright.
