The P85D on DD just sold so good to see a market for them still.

Wow, and that one was very expensive - nose cone model, wasn't it, about 2014-2015 asking €45k?

For that money you'd have a facelift 2018 now (no, not a performance)

Could have been withdrawn or expired of course and not sold. Or do you have inside info?

It was up less than they ad period (60 days) so seller removed it. But when he removed it he clicked that it sold through DoneDeal.

Now no guarantee that it sold or has been withdrawn though.

Very annoyingly, the Tesla german website has S and X plaid sitting in inventory, but still us plebs here in this god forsaken place off the west coast of europe that drive on the wrong side dont even have prices online let alone cars available!

You ordering a Model X plaid when it becomes available?

I have a preorder in for years at this stage, certainly feels like years anyway. I have a significant asset maturing in June so once it's after that I'll be taking delivery for sure. Model X Plaid and Ora Funky Cat, that's an odd couple of cars to have coming!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,120 ✭✭✭✭unkel

I can think of a worse couple of cars to have coming 😂

You currently have a Model 3 and an ICE car?

Model 3 and then a few old ICE cars. Jag S Type (from david golding auction) being delivered today too. Never replaced the second EV - ioniq28 - since selling it in q3 last year.

My last family ICE car was a Jaguar S Type. Very nice and I bought it for a few hundred quid. Also zero spent on maintenance. That said, €50 per week in fuel and €30 per week in tax. A brand new Ioniq 28kWh proved to have far lower total cost of ownership 😂

The good old times of buying a cutting edge EV brand new for €25k without a 1 year waiting list.

Well over 6 years ago. But those times will be back soon. Almost equally good EVs with more range than that for less money. They will all be Chinese though. And all from brands that weren't for sale here back then.

I left my car in yesterday for a serviceable item to be fixed.

Overnight stay required. Just checked on the app there and it is currently on the supercharger. Will it be charged to me or because the status is "in service" is it charged to Tesla?

Not a complaint on my behalf. Just wondering.

Check your account on the app to see if you have an invoice after the charging session is finished and you'll have your answer. Let us know if you do or not.

They used to just charge on the 22kW AC chargers. Which was fine with me as it's free (still is - sneaky hint if you go for a test drive) 😂

Supercharger is almost certainly going to be charged. But as @wassie said, let us know.

Hard to see how they could charge for it if it wasn’t requested by the customer. The only scenario I can think of is where a test drive is required and the SoC is so low that that isn’t possible.

I reckon if a car is in Service Mode when it’s plugged into a SuC it would be comped…. But it would only apply to SuC’s at SC’s and during operating hour in case a user initiated Service Mode themselves… but nowadays anyway it all happens automatically based on your appointment.

Lads come on, no way they can charge the customer, it was there overnight, if it needed charging they could have plugged into the AC chargepoints. Hopefully what we are seeing here is SC topping up your car FOC as a curtsy

I didn't request it!! Battery was around 30% before they put it on the SuC. Cost on the screen was €33.80 but nothing has come out of my bank account. They charged it to around 85% then slow charged it to 100%.

So if I'm not charged for the supercharger then it was a decent gesture to give it back to me fully charged.

Just drove past a house and he has 4 Tesla taxis!!

    3 model 3's and a model Y.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,166 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

No, that’s an autonomous meet-up of Tesla’s….. the drivers all work nights so during the day the cars all meet up and share stories of the previous nights madness…..

    This one I’m interested in.

Are you 100% sure the MY was a taxi?

It’s technically a perfect taxi but it can’t pass the passenger safety test because of the rear tinted windows. And because they are standard on Tesla, you can’t buy clear glass from Tesla. It can’t pass the suitability test.

Edit. Found the guy. He rents them out. Investigation begins now as the Y is a great PSV.

EVs generally get exemptions from most of the PSV rule.

    The Zoe even qualifies!

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 41,473 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gumbo

They got the exemption on the space requirement alright. Same for the L24.

I done 9 EV taxis since 2021 so I know my way around the system but none could get through the tints. I had to source rear windows from Belfast for the eNiro!

Interesting that they never actually show the crash.
