Rain Gauge Recommendation

    Would anyone have any information on where I could get a rain gauge?
    Its for my father - he would get a great kick out of recording the rainfall as he already writes down on a work diary (he is farming) a comment on the weather (wet, dry, stormy )

    I think he simple ones are just a graduated cylinder and that might do the job but if there was something a bit more sophisticated which might even give him readings on soil temperature and soil moisture deficits then that would also be useful.
