lifestyle sports can do next day delivery up to 10pm with DPD, there'll be no problem here.

For me last year. I ordered at 9:45pm(Lifestyle cut off 10pm) on the 23rd December and opened the door to find a delivery at 7:45am(no idea how long it was there). It was Nightline for me.

I'm still shocked nearly a year later.

What games are people getting for launch? I was going to just play Astro and see what how PS4 games play on it starting out but turns out I have more money than expected this month so thinking of picking up a couple.

Demon's Souls, then Bloodborne which I just pick up for €15 on the PS Store (GOTY edition). Then there are a few in the PS+ collection i'm dying to play - The Last of Us, God of War, Last Guardian.

I'm hoping by the time I've gotten through all that Elden Ring will be released

    I
I only ever played the 1st Assassins' Creed game, found it fairly repetitive, I assume it's gotten better since then?

1st one was certainly repetitive, 2 improved a lot and the third game released, brotherhood was great. But the fact they repeated the formula so much meant the games felt the same up until origins where it deviated a bit. I've got Odyssey which I did mean to play but just haven't sat down to but MAIN reason I want this version of Assassin's Creed is apparently Ireland is in it :D Hoping to pillage and rob my ancestors :D

Looks like Harvey Norman will be doing click and collect tomorrow for PS5 consoles as they are allowing accessories to be picked up from stores

Maybe I'm mistaken so but same applies because the wife orders clothes from a small shop and it's 100% DPD next day delivery.

have my copy of Demon's Souls ready to go. Beyond that I'll probably wait and pick up Cyberpunk when it's out.

    Same here 100%

Odyssey is great. People complain it's too long, which I think is a bizarre complaint. My advice... get the DLC before you start, and set out to play it over a few months, not racing to the end. It's great fun.

So one of my two machines (one is going to a friend for his little lad's Christmas present) is being delivered by Amazon tomorrow, the other has to be collected at Smyths. What's the bets the delivery comes while I'm over picking up the other one? :pac:

I can wait at your house for the Amazon one if you like, what's the address?

I'm on the fence about the Pulse Headset. Anyone have one already that can attest to the quality of them?

I've got one, and it's def higher build quality than the gold headset. But I've not had a lot of exposure to other headsets so no idea what that standard is like across the board.

Audio is nice but haven't tried to really put it through the paces.

But I do like the usability updates such as battery indicators without needing to be plugged in etc.

Is there something in particular you'd like checked?

It's not a complaint about length from what I've heard and more that the game forces you to grind unnecessary **** to continue the main story which artificially inflates play time. Ghost of Tsushima is a very similar game but doesn't do this, I platinumed it in about 60-70 hours but the main story can be done in 20-25, while recent AC games forces you into stuff which makes their main stories take much longer like 40+.

I've played hollow knight (ps4) last night and was really happy with the sound quality. Also listened to some music using my pc over a wireless connection. I think for that price if you can get its a decent headset.

I'm waiting to hear when they're announcing Tempest Audio support for AV receivers. I just finished building our house and installed 5 surround and 4 ceiling speakers. Atmos sounds incredible for movies, so I'm hoping Tempest will be the same once they make it compatible.

Techradar have a fair review for them

    https://www.techradar.com/reviews/ps5-pulse-3d-wireless-headset

Great for PS5 use. Middle of the road for anything else.

3D audio will work on other headsets you plug in to the Dualsense. Sony claims that all users can benefit from the tech using existing headphones. This is supported through USB and the 3.5mm jack so its not Pulse or nothing. However, if you want the best experience, Sony has designed its 3D Pulse Headset specifically for the tech so its integration is a lot smoother.

Played Spider-Man PS4 on the weekend with them and thought they sounded great. Felt like I could determine the location of the bombs on the Screwball missions easier but that might have been in my head. Was previously using the Golds.

Mine does - I'm pretty sure it just means an exact delivery date/time hasn't been specified yet. Hopefully it'll update later on.
