    Ronnie looks pretty depressed tbh.

Hopefully he scrapes over the line.

Ronnie yawning away here, looks tired and completely disinterested.

Strange decision not to replace that second foul/miss.

Cahill has the lay to win this frame now.

He looks knackered. 8 all at the Crucible and hes yawning.

Cahill crumbling under the pressure, he couldn’t possibly be getting any more help from Ronnie but he just doesn’t have the nerve to make it count.

Bad miss from Cahill, definitely nerves and an easy clearance for Ronnie now.

Even as a Ronnie fan, an upset of this magnitude would be so much more enjoyable if he was playing near his best and was bested by Cahill playing out of his skin.

This 'not-arsed/half-asleep' performance is just so disappointing.

Woeful miss on the pink there.

Cahill has had so many chances and he's blown it. Having said that, Ronnie just missed the pink.

Well done James, great bottle at the end there. Lucky though.

Another terrible shot choice from Ronnie, he fully deserves to go out here.

Should be 9 all. The balls are spread nicely.

All there for Cahill to win this match.

Needlessly aggressive shot into the pink and pack there from Ronnie. This could be it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,032 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

They're all there for the taking for Cahill. Can he hold himself together though?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,032 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Eh sorry, John Virgo, Ronnie is not the greatest ever player.

    And there it is:eek:

Does anyone know the odds of this victory by Cahill?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,991 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

Ronnie threat to quit the game coming in 5, 4, 3...

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,341 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

And Cahill wins it! Disappointed to see Ronnie go out so early but he’s just never in the mood at the Crucible anymore, he fully deserved to lose that and it was there to win, Cahill didn’t exactly play jaw-dropping snooker.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,307 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

    Shambolic from Ronnie.

Great to see Cahill not break under pressure at the end. A not-arsed Ronnie didn't deserve to win that.

    250/1.

    Biggest shock in snooker history.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,991 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

Ronnie can go for the snooze he looks like he badly wants now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,182 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

Fair ****s to Cahill. Held his nerve well there at the end. Was sure he'd miss that final red. Ronnie got what he deserved. Just didn't turn up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,032 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

I'm delighted Ronnie is out. The fascination with him, particularly by the BBC is ridiculous. Easily the biggest shock ever. Embarrassing really from Ronnie's point of view. Delighted for Cahill.

Always a shame to see Ronnie go out early.
Cahill potting that last red was brilliant - I was convinced he missed it.

So much for predictions, Murphy whitewashes his opponent and Ronnie out in the first round. I would have put money on it being the other way around.

To win the tournament or just the first round? Seems crazy big for just one match.

Was no where near that price for that match it was around 16-20/1

Cheers. I fancied his chances, didn't want to bet on him and jinx him.

Just that match! Defo saw that somewhere. He was 1500/1 for the tournament.

Although I saw 22/1 elsewhere so who knows. Im not a gambler. 250/1 seems fair to me before the match though!

Fair play to him, seems nice a nice lad too. Ronnies clearly got a bad flu or something. Looks and sounds absolutely terrible. Like he should be in the hospital.
