I hate to tell you this but licensing law in this country is arcane and highly specialised, you're not going to reach a correct conclusion based on 5 minutes googling. There are plenty of "early houses" on that list under the category of "7-Day ordinary" as that's the starting point for how they are licensed to sell shameful, ruinous booze.

Bring back prohibition, much rather the coin flip on going blind from moonshine ;)

What's happening with the new Dean Hotel construction site in Bohermore (formerly Shannon dry cleaners). Seems to be at a virtual standstill at the moment

Bodyshop is back up and running. Gone for a more minimalist look with white walls showing and I think more brickwork visible . Possibly had more shelving before.

That's par for the course for all the night clubs in Galway isn't it?

Couldn't get a picture but signage for the cinema at bailey's point is in place and great to see it finally come to life. Think I could also make our movie posters but will pass again at weekend for proper look. Must be opening soon.

Also big improvements in the car park at dunnes Knocknacarra and shorter journey now to the underground car park which should ease queues for parking.

Yes, a digital? sign on what I assume will be the front door area, showing a selection of current films and extolling the comforts of its various components. I saw some kitchen type equipment going in yesterday.

It would have been stupid to change the name, one of the most iconic names in Galway.

    Lovely

Although I can just tell by the new logo and banner in that picture that it'll be turned into one of them hippy bars like Caribou with all the gins and fancy drinks

The premises that used to be food for thought was being fitted out yesterday. Cabinet type look so must be a jewelery or similar enterprise going in

Nope: Food for Thought is still open and trading.

the one is being fitted out used to be (Sonnys?) then HoneyBee Healthfoods, and then turned into (Molloys?) Pharmacy and Healthfoods a while ago - and closed unexpectedly. I posted a while back with a pic of the notice on the window.

Agree re likely use - they've been moving along very quickly in the last week or so, I reckon it may even open this week or next.
