Landowner liabilities/responsibilities

I'm looking to get a few acres together as a hobby farmer but I've no idea what the risks and responsibilities are of land ownership. For example home ownership you have property tax and need house insurance. What are the things a new landowner would typically need to know in terms of insurance or other expectations? Do most farmers have to get land insurance in case some member of the public falls on their land for example.

Not sure for tax but it look like there is none just for owning!
