No replay of the black or the earlier strike on McLoughlin

Good to see one of McMahon's talents hasn't waned over time

    Absolutely cleaned midfield so far.

    Don't see that at all.

Dublin think they are going to come out for the 2nd half and blow us away in the next 10mins. I have a feeling mayo will outscore them by 4

In fairness, we've seen very little of him since Galway

Did Kilkenny just do a Paul Gascogne and limp of pretending to be injured because he is being subbed?

I think Dublin are very rattled. Not often they are outscored in the points department by 5 at this stage of the game

Pressure on and kick outs fall apart

    Falling apart now.

    Terrible.

Mayo mentally checked out and 5 mins left. Couple years ago this team would be giving it all for the next few mins. Disapointing.

Turning point was when Eoghan McLoughlin gave away the ball when broke the Dublin defence, half way in the second half. Goal or a point at that stage was huge.

So much hype around him this year, he has a long way to go.

Disappointing but never looked like scoring goals.

He's only really playing about 2yr. Body still adjusting to putting on 20kg from when he was a world class junior cyclist.

More exposure and experience he gets you just watch him improve even more.

    Ah well.
We put it up to them.
    But not our day.

    Better team won
    No real complaints

I have decided I was indeed right . It would have been a **** year to win it :p

Always the goals that do us against Dublin. They had two chances and took them with clinical ha doing and finishing.

Their subs contributed. Howard coming on meant we had two to sort in midfield which meant Fenton was allowed that few percent of looseness and he thrived. Both of them had some second half.

Great game. Great showing by 4 to1 outsiders, against the heaviest funded team in the history of the GAA, home advantage and a ref afraid to make a big call in a final. Looks like AIG was missing from the refs jersey. 🀣 well done, the better funded, better equipped, better facilitated, better hyped, home advantaged team won

Extremely proud of our team. We came up against one of the greatest teams ever assembled and we were competitive. This team is coming.

    Great effort by the lads.

Really feel for the older stalwarts.

The losses don't get any easier.

They had their chances in the third quarter but Dublin continue to set an almighty standard.

Yeah needed goals in that game. Proud of the team though, they gave it their all and we'll go again. If there is any upside to this it is that the day we do win we will hopefully be there in Croke Park.

Did anyone think we had a chance of winning at any stage during the game??

I hate to say it but to me it always felt Dublin had us at arm's length and could flex for a goal or a few quick scores if they needed to.

The Dubs have All Stars on their bench which gives them so many options to either chase a game or close it out.

Still, the lads did us proud as always...we just ran out of steam in the last quarter.
