Definite thunder Dublin 11. Quite loud. Can't really spot the lightning. Rain easing off gradually.

Just gone active. Thunder now, near Dub Airport.

I'd say some spot flooding in west/northwest of the city over the next hour or so.

Developed quite suddenly that looking at radar. First murmured over North County Dublin then develops as it moved south over the city into a nice shower.

Echo that, and I've spent monsoon season in the tropics. Hopefully get some rainfall rate stats

Feel like I'm in Thailand in Monsoon season or something, this is crazy rain in Dublin

Be interesting to see how that second band in the Irish sea develops once hitting land. Could be just as explosive.

If the shores were regularly cleared by the council, it would reduce the flooding! Temp of 17C in that shower.

    Some shower that.. City center.

Is that firing down on Dublin or just North of it?

Unclear - has to reach the shore first then the cloud tops can erupt again.

I live in a cup due sac (Dublin 10) and it's severely flooded already! Glad I brought the "summer cars" out!

12.2mm rain reported in Dublin Airport at 1400. Not much for Phoenix Park and Casement.

Just back from the city centre. Heavy rain and spot flooding all the way the way back.

Rain has stopped in Dublin 16. 12.6mm here from that shower with high rain rate of 87.2mm/hr.

Weird, I'm probably 2 minutes as the crow flies from.Phoneix Park and it's torrential here. Everywhere is flooded.

North Kildare, near the Meath border and there is explosive convection to my north and east now. Temperature just under 20c and humidity is at 95%.

Can see another cell firing up just off the south Dublin coast.

Shame the low is moving away from Ireland all I'm getting down here is a bit of light rain. God knows we need rain and lots of it. It's been especially dry here this year.
