Bit of a chance of thundery downpours in the SE, E and NE on Tues with the outer rain bands from the LP centered over the UK moving in over the Eastern side of the country. Very little deep layer shear available, some low level shear and convergence down along the coasts Temps getting up to the high teens.

Some thunderstorm activity currently on the outer bands of that low pressure system to the south of Ireland.

Looks like best chance of thunderstorms in the East tomorrow afternoon / early evening if they materialize.

Lightning strikes off SW England now and may drift towards southern areas later?

I'm amazed that this thread is so quiet this evening considering that thunderstorm activity is looking likely in the south tonight.

I guess People aren't getting their hopes up. Likely not to be anything anyway.

We had some serious rainfall in Macroom this evening, felt very thundery at times. Been hoping for thunder the last few weeks so hopefully we might get some later on.

The air definitely needed this bit of rain. Stood out in it earlier and it was delightful.

It's not looking likely really. The bulk of that unstable stuff is due to stay in the Celtic Sea as the low heads into Britain.

Something might be imported in the circulation ,so watch out for that

Its getting ridiculous, the lack of rainfall in the Arklow area
The flow is from the NE this morning, so bring it on

ECM and ICON showing increased chance of thunderstorms today in the E, SE and NE. Possibly seeing activity from early afternoon.
