oh dear the weather lads on the forum are debating if we will have heavy snow or heavy rain on Sat. not looking good, hopefully it will change before then.

Temperatures around Athy look to be too high for snow surely?

Certainly looks like it'll be wet early alright, but as things stand its looking to clear around mid-day, which isn't too long after we start teeing off (I'm trying to go benny's route of being an eternal optimist )

Lads Im not digging all the negative messages about the weather! A few showers early morning thats it! which will probably pass by Saturday.

Athy Golf Club is the driest course in Leinster if it poured down Friday it be bone dry Saturday Its the soil it was built on but its made how dry it does be after down pours..

Hi Golfnut203,

The timesheet is posted above. If you want to join the Society you have to PM steve ob your details. Username/name, Ph no, gui handicap if you have one. If not playing experience ie what you think you'd be off and then download the Teaner app and he will set you up on it. a handicap will then be assigned to you on the day and then reviewed after your first outing. Membership is €30 for the year and fee for Athy is €35 all payable on the day.

I have two slots available in the last 2 groups so if you think you can make it pm me and I will add you to the time sheet. but drop outs at this late stage still have to be payable to the club as all money is but into the society to get clubs as cheap as possible.. If you have any other questions feel free to pm me no hassle at all we are a friendly bunch

Just in case anyone is wondering the course is open. The weather for day. Light showers breaking at 12. Athy soaks up the wet although I'd say there might be placing.

Actually not as bad as i thought this morning, looking at the rainfall radar there is lots of dry weather just to the south of athy so hopefully it pushes over us at 11 bells.

Yeah say there's a good chance it might push over early. But clouds are light.. just dull out. I'd even predict the Sun will pop it's head out before end of round
