It was a grand day in Dublin 5 today, better than some of what I've been reading on here over the last few days anyway.

Would anyone care to elaborate on MT's outlook for Easter:
"OUTLOOK ... Continued east to southeast winds will bring alternating pulses of mild and chilly days for the rest of the week, but at the moment it appears possible that the Easter weekend will coincide with a warmer interval around 15 C."
Heading west for the Easter weekend and hoping for some good weather.

it's 7 - 10 days away, whatever anyone tells you today is unlikely to be correct.

looks to be dry or very dry over much of the country for the next two weeks, very little rain in eastern parts. Should warm up a good deal by Easter too.

Dry ground heats up more readily than saturated ground which bodes well as the sun steadily gains strength, meaning better chance of warmer temperatures should we get a warm (and dry) air source.

Looks like Eastern and Southeastern fringes are the place to be for sun today. Very chilly and windy there though.

If you plan to go for a long walk, have fair skin and are in the one of the aforementioned sunnier areas, it might be a good idea to pop on some SPF on any exposed skin as the sun is beginning to gain in strength and many people will assume they won't burn in the sun because it feels cold and windy.

If we saw the sun for more than an hour in the last 5 days I would be surprised. Awful dark dull cloudy weather. Cold wind all week. South Leitrim.

    It’s flipping freezing today.

Is it just me or does it not really feel cold in Dublin?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,281 ✭✭✭✭lawred2

That wind in Dublin makes it feel really cold.

So far really hating this “spring”. In Kilkenny and south Leinster at least it’s been never ending blah.
Some nice sunny days but never with any real warmth. Today was pretty typical- dry, some good sunshine but a biting cold wind with temps in single figures.
Really just looking forward to some decent warmth and mildness- parts of the bloody winter were much milder !!

Bitterly cold in Donegal today with significant windchill, was out paining all day and hands were numb with the cold by the time we finished. Even with the sunny weather over the past 10 days there's still not much growth evident around here, nothing more than buds on trees and bushes, could really use a few proper warm days.

It’s effectively a winters day here, in north Dublin. Dry but temp is 5C but there’s a biting wind.
