    P-51 Mustang in to Weston

  • Registered Users Posts: 1 patmcc76

    Hi

Does anyone know the usual flight path aircraft take in to the display area? Do they have a holding point somewhere?

And with that in mind are there any alternative viewing points that are good rather than dealing with the madness of Bray?

    Cheers

Believe they held at Dalkey Island last year.

Such a shame that with sunny weather in Bray for the first time in years (proper sunny weather not half cloudy) that the lineup is cack.

Anyone know ... Shankhill beach an ok place to view the air show ? thanks

I'm in the best place to watch it, in a boat anchored off the display line.
And there is plenty of space to watch along the Bray seafront.
Anyone know if the ATC can be heard online? 119.6 I understand.

FFS, on their website!!!! How lazy are you?

    https://brayairdisplay.com/in-the-air/

They never give order/times, that depends on operational stuff.

So as not to have to listen to whingers when things don't go to plan.

The alternative answer is 'No, unfortunately no schedule provided'. :D

I see The Blades have said the weather defeated them today (in the UK) but they'll have another go tomorrow, before heading for Bray Air Display in the afternoon.

Maybe channel some of that impotent rage into some reading lessons... Do you see what I asked for anywhere in that link?

You still seem upset by my simple request judging by your 15 confused smilies there. Is it really that amazing to you that people would want to know if theres a rough timetable for appearances at an airshow? The page you keep quoting does not provide what I asked for, so I took a chance and asked if any of the experts in the Boards.ie Aviation forum would know where that information could be found. I find it hard to believe that a show of this scale would not have a preplanned schedule or appearance order with rough timelines for each participant. I would advise for the sake of your blood pressure that you avoid social media surrounding the Bray Air Show because there are many similar requests from members of the public seeking the same information.

Not sure where EI will find an A320 to do this....

Why? I'd expect that this commitment will have been factored in long ago and any schedule adjustment to release an aircraft for a hour or so made accordingly. It's been done for several previous Bray shows.

To the two children having a go at each other, knock it off.
The Bray Airshow (to my knowledge) has never published a schedule. You can guess that the headline act (Falcons this year) will close the show.
Incidentally I’ve been at RIAT and Chicago Airshow, neither of which had a fixed schedule either.
Display schedule can change, even with aircraft in the air at holding points.

Just saw the EI A321 and the Aer Corps fly over my place on route to bray. Nice and low. Looked great.

I haven’t been able to attend any air shows in recent years so I was delighted to see the P-51 do a circuit about my home on its approach to Weston this evening.

Was it an A320 in formation with the IAC or an A321?

    A320 in new livery.

I was at the Bray air display on Saturday. I must say I really enjoyed it.
The highlights for me were the solo aerobatic acts which were incredible.
Also the P-51 Mustang was fantastic.
Well done to the organisers and all the performers.
But I really missed not having a few loud jets there, e.g. Saab Viggen.
