Anybody considering Llorente? He is guaranteed to play now with Kane gone isn't he?
Guaranteed to play, not guaranteed to get points.

Spurs will be a different proposition with Kane, Son & Sissoko all gone. I see Lucas Moura flagged now.

I think there are better players available

I wouldn't even say he's absolutely guaranteed to play. I'd probably expect him too but wouldn't say it's anywhere near 100%.

It could be Lamela and Moura that come in for Kane and Son. Neither of them are in any way traditional strikers but a lot of teams play without such a player these days and both have been heavily involved this season whereas Llorente has been on the fringes. Alli is a player that I could see being given a role further up the pitch to accommodate this.

I'm definitely giving it at least one game to have a look at this new-look Spurs, how they line up and how potent they look going forward

Remember the time everyone was TCing Andy Carroll? This is a similar proposition IMO

When Kane hasn't been available, Poch has played Son up front so I'd say it'll be Moura there if he's fit.

They've a few injuries and with Sissoko gone they're without 3 of their front 6.

Having said that, their fixtures are kind and I could see them scapping through the next few games 1-0, 2-0 etc with a bit of a struggle for goals.

Won't be buying any of them though

Kane is out, Son is gone, Moura is injured (not even in squad fit man u game), sissoko is out. Wanyama is out. Dier out, demebele injured and about to sign in China. Lamela is just back from injury - he might fill a midfield role but no hope in hell he plays up front.

Spurs play Fulham Sunday before the 2nd leg of cup semi final 3 days later and should be resting players not playing half fit ones. If ever Llorante was going to start, this is it.

Except this one is a 5.6 cheapie that you'd never even dream of captaining.

Why Wilson? Would you consider Jimenez or even DCL?

Similar price to Jimenez and fancy Wilson to outscore him for remainder of season. Provided he shakes off the hamstring of course.

I'm taking Wilson out of my Wildcard team as we've no idea where he'll end up. He'll either:
Stay at Bournemouth where he has a bad run of fixtures
Go to Chelsea or Spurs where there'll be quite a bit of settlign in and far more competition.

I'm thinking Jiminez up to GW29(LEI,WHU,eve,NEW,bou,hud,CAR).

    Then Wilson(if fit) for remainder(hud,NEW,lei,BUR,bri,FUL,sou,TOT,CPL).

    Should get best of both.

I got Lorente and might even make him captain

TAA & Son to Bednarek & Sterling for a -4, any other better options?

Sissoko is out for a month
But I still won’t be getting Llorente

Kane and TAA to Aguero and Shaw for a -4. Thoughts?

    Meaning I could field

    Fab

    Doherty Digne Shaw

    Hazard Salah Richarlison Pogba

    Jimenez Aguero Rashford
Murphy, Bednarek, AWB and Camarasa on the bench

    Out:
    Son
    Kolasinac

    In:
    Bednarek
Man City MF most likely KDB

    Edit :

    Scratch that
    Kolasinac could stay
    Waiting on Kane news..

    For - 4 I went
    Out: Son-Kane
    In: Sane-PEA

Sane blocks more rivals than KDB. Easy change back to Son when he returns from war.

PEA-not overly happy with for this GW would i will want him long term so was obvious pick for me.

Will wait and see how many moves my rivals make and i might take another hit to move TAA out for Bednarek/Jonny, and aim to get Robertson or Allison in asap in future GWs.

So I will be using my BENCH BOOST
    Starting line up

    Firmino Rashford Wilson
    Sterling Martial Hazard Fraser Mctominay
    Alonso Luiz Robbo AWB Digne
    Ederson Button

Have already used my FT on TAA >DIGNE
wanted to bring in Laca for Firmino
    Sane/pogba for martial/hazard
And someone who starts for Mctominay @ 4.4

I was reading through the forum thinking the same thing, liked your post, then moved on. Then got to this...

He's in a team, top of the table, who have 3 of the next 4 games at home.
Fixtures at home are: Palace, Leicester, Bournemouth, and have West Ham away.

They need to score goals to keep up with city's firing power, giving that it could come down to goal difference.

He has 4 goals in the 3 games, ahattrick v Arsenal and goal v City. He rarely get's dropped or rested - in comparison with Aguero.

Kane is injured, Aguero is not guaranteed to start/finish a game, Jesus is same as Aguero.

There is no other striker other than Rashford who most ppl will have or will be getting that has such favourable fixtures and in a team scoring goals

Given all the above and the fact he is only 9.2m, I think he is worth getting in for the next 4 games and re-evaluating.
I've now moved from Aguero to Firmino and my currnet challenge is figuring out where to spend all my extra cash.

Also to add to the Firmino love, it's a bit off but Liverpool will definitely have a game on the skinny game week 31.

Would a bank this week be a good move? Kind of want rashford but would involve a -4 which I'm not mad on taking would be arnie and lovren out for rashford and jonny. Unless pellegrini rules arnie out this afternoon

    Might just roll with
    Fab
    Digne Robertson holebas
    Salah sterling sane pogba Ricky
    Arnie Jimenez

If you don't want to take a hit, why don't you just get rid of Lovern and complete the job next GW? I don't see the point if having Lovern on your bench when you could have a starting player who you plan to bring in anyway.

That’s fine if you assume that Liverpool will open up and go for more goals to try and build a decent GD.

I don’t believe there’s any evidence to back up that assumption. When Liverpool we’re going through a sticky patch earlier in the season they would get to 1-0 and take the foot off the peddle, consolidate. I think we’re more likely to see more of that. Churn out the 1-0s, make sure they win the next four and put the pressure on City to beat Arsenal and Chelsea. Liverpool aren’t going to finish the season with a higher goal difference than City, they’re just not. What’s different this year is their tightness at the back.
For that reason I’m out on Firmino but in on double defence

Liverpool are currently missing half or even three quarters of their first choice back four. Klopp could well decide that attack is the best form of defence.

They have 60% of their first choice back five available. Allison, VVD & Robbo. Matip is back this week. Gomez is back next week. Don't think he will change tact and he has pretty much said this.

Gomez back next week? are you sure....... I would have thought he'd be out longer.

Pogba & Nasri or Martial & Felipe Anderson

I think the second one is more sensible, as I have doubts over whether Nasri will hold down a place week in, week out. Also, can Pogba maintain his recent returns? Surely Martial playing in a more advanced position will deliver more over the course of the 2nd half of the season....

However, the first 2 are headed for price rises and the second 2 more towards a drop.

I expect both Martial and Pogba to start, but Pogba is the most likely to start as Martial could make way for Sanchez or Mata potentially.

Nasri and Anderson both appear to be startING and both capable of assists and goals as each other IMO.

Id go with Pog and Nasri myself but both pairs could be succesful

Agree with this. Originally had Firmino in my WC template but opted for Allison on the basis of 16 games left:

    Allison ~ 9 clean sheets (based on current form) = 6*9 = 54 + 7*2 = 68

    Firmino - 16*2 = 32

Given the price of each player & a rough points to value - Firmino would be looking to hit 102 points. So remaining points to hit 70. 70 /4 = 17.5. Firmino would need to be contributing towards at least 1 goal in every game for the remainder of the season. Haven't factored in assist as a 3 pointer and bps but all in all with the way Liverpool are performing I think defence is the best way to go with Salah as auto captain if they start banging in goals

However, if I wasn't on wildcard Firmino for Aubam, Aguero,Kane would definitely be the play over the next 4 games and then a switch back.

As a WH fan, Nasri will continue to start for now. Sounds like the threat to his position really is:
    - fitness (been out 18 months so will they manage his minutes)
    - Yarmolenko and Lanzini who are both out long term and haven’t heard any updates lately
    - lots of rumours of a new striker coming in. If that happens who knows where everyone would play (especially if Arnie stays)

All in all, I’d be comfortable signing him today
