This Tsitsipas geezer is playing a great Australian Open and looks the real deal :).

I reckon he will fall in 5 sets though and, later on Rafa will comprehensively beat Tiafoe in 3.

In ladies competition, I have Collins winning in 3 and Kvitova in straight sets.

I'm not saying don't allow it, but I think it should be within the existing time constraints. If players start losing points because they aren't back on court within the normal change of ends or end of set time periods, I'd say you'd have a lot less toilet breaks been taken, and those that do happen will be both necessary and as quick as humanly possible!

Same goes for medical treatment, assessment only within the allotted time period, otherwise point penalties, and no actual treatment by the doctor/physio allowed. The medic can advise as to what they think is wrong, and how serious it may be, and then it is up to the player to decide if they can play on, or if they are too badly injured to continue.

Depends on where the toilets are located. On outside courts the toilets can be a couple of minutes away.

Besides if they are sweating that much they shouldn't need the toilet.

Don't think that he would trouble Nadal too much yet, assuming Nadal beats Tafoe and that his body doesn't break down. Happy to be proved wrong.

Kvitová playing as well as I’ve seen for a while, fancy her to win it out on current form.

Tiafoe bemused and confused so far in his encounter with the Nadal beast.

    1st set gone pretty quickly.

and Tiafoe broken in the first game of the second set.

Nadal seems to have worked on his serve - he's hitting aces now. That was never a significant part of his game.

You know I started this tournament hating this guy, but f*ck it now I hope he wins, such strength and dedication .... jesus ... he is sacrificing his old age for all this, guy won't be able to walk when he's 50!!

Posting a screenshot to show I didn't make it up (and yes I am aware it means pain killing or other legal stuff ... but still it's funny :D )

This is going to be all over in under 2 hours.

Crazy to think that in 2018 Nadal retired or withdrew from 11 hard-court tournaments.

    He completed only 1.

Nice to see Nadal being given a tough match here.

Delighted Petra's in the semi's, was quite emotional when she welled up on court. Amazing she's got back to this level. Just hope she doesn't mess it up by losing to Collins.

You can say what you want about the draw etc. but bear in mind 3 years ago here Nadal was beaten by Verdasco in round 1 and his days of contending at slams looked finished.

It's been an amazing turnaround from him to get back to the top, heavily competing at slams.

I do agree ... but he still hasn't played a top 20 player and he is in the semis!

Lets see Tsitpitas ... _maybe_ he'll win one set, at worst it's 3-1 Nadal.

Tsitsipas has played Nadal twice before - so at least he will have an idea of what he's facing - no chance of being competitive against Nadal if he's fit and it's the first time facing him.

Nishikori could be a banana skin for Djokovic ..

I think Nishikori will be lucky to win ten games

Nishikori beating Djokovic at the US Open 2014 has been the catalyst for ND just completely dominating this match up ever since

In truth I think it'll be a fairly straight forward passage for Djokovic and Nadal into the final, although Raonic could keep ND honest enough if he makes the semi

Ever since, I keep expecting a Nishikori performance close to that one, but it has never materialised. The match between them in Rome last year was their most competitive in while but you never got the feeling that Nishikori was going to prevail. He is Djokovic-lite imo, in much the same way that Dimitrov is Federer-lite, same playing styles but just not as effective. I'll be expecting a straight-sets win for Djokovic unless he is still feeling the effects from the previous Medvedev match (looked to be in some sort of pain at the end of that)

I want anyone but Nadal or Djokovic to win. A Pouille-Tsitsipas final is the dream but we all know how likely that is to happen.

Well done Naomi  This is some follow up to winning the US Open! Not only that but she's currently world #1 in the live rankings, and if Petra loses her SF that's how it'll stay.

Wait hang on, I forgot Pliskova is still involved in the #1 race. She has to win the title to be in with a shot, otherwise it's between Kvitova and Osaka.

Pliskova is playing out her skin against Serena, who would have predicted that eh :-O?

Well that's the most astonishing thing I've ever seen on a tennis court!!

What a win for Lucas Pouille to beat Milos Raonic for the first time and reach his first Grand Slam semi 😮😮.

I just don't see Kei cause Novak any trouble, the Serb will win 6-2; 6-2; 7-5 then will beat Pouille 7-5; 6-7; 6-4; 6-4. In the other semi I have Rafa as a convincing winner like in the Final of Toronto last year, I reckon 7-5; 6-3; 7-6 Rafa.

In Ladies Semi I think Kvitova will beat Collins 6-4; 7-5 and Pliskova will beat Osaka 6-4; 5-7; 7-5.
