I don't understand why people get so annoyed at this. This is a forum of maybe 150 active members in a game of more than five million people. We discuss our transfers, teams and strategies all year round but people get salty when someone reminds folks of a gw starting.

Then again, maybe it's a joke I'm not getting!!

Good luck this gw folks, and happy Xmas to all :)

Think Shaq might be rewarded with a start tonight - surely great value at 7.1, considering sneaking him in for this one.

Time for a Christmas FPL ditty about the highs and lows of this game we call "FPL". Make sure to singalong with all the family...

*plays a C on the synthesizer he got from Santa in 1993*

    Dashing through the snow,
    My striker broke his leg.
All my subs are now in jail –
They went and stole a keg.

My mids have all been dropped
And my defenders look like shyte,
I just don’t know what to do,
I’ve been up half the night. Oh...

    Jingle bells, bloody hell,
    My keeper’s made a save.
    My captain scored a penalty
    A half-blind ref just ga-ave.
    Jingle bells, bloody hell,
    A hat-trick on the way.
Is there a better way to spend
    Your time these Christmas days?

A goal would be so nice,
    And a double really sweet.
    But someone found my striker's
    Old inapp-ropriate tweet.

    Paul Pogba was on form
But now he's turned to sh1t.
    I wish I hadn't brought him in
For Salah for a hit. Oh...

    Lacazette's scored a goal,
And now it's two, and three.
    I thought I had him captained;
But forgot to save my team!

    Alonso's got a hat-trick,
But it wasn't the right kind -
Own goal, missed pen and red card -
I think I've just lost my mind. Oh...

    (altogether now, clap your hands...)

I think it's more of a joke at this stage tbh

    Flapianski
    Digne Alonso Schindler
    Sterling Sane Richarlison Snodgrass
    Kane Auba Jimenez

    Subs: Button, Bennett, AWB, Kayal

    Transfer was TAA to Digne.

1 transfer carried so I can swap Kane or Auba out and get Salah/Hazard in if necessary.

    Fabianski
Alonso Doherty Dunk (likely if TAA definitely out but also debating a late t/fer)
    Salah Hazard Sterling Snodgrass Ricky
    Mitrovic Wilson

But we're not in cash leagues with the other 4,999,850 people, and also some of us are just petty, reeaaalllllllll petty and love nothing more than hearing about someone messing up their transfer or captain selection cos they missed the gameweek deadline! :D

Its highly unlikely I get Pedro unfortunately. I just think he is a great option next 4 gameweeks but me getting in sterling is of far more importance.

    if i had to, Jimenez.

against a top team, it's very hard to choose a defender from a midtable team or lower, no matter how attacking they are.

the question you have to ask yourself is who is more likely to get an attacking return, assuming you don't think Wolves will keep a clean sheet.

you're asking for trouble in selling Sane. he's the least prone to rotation at the moment in the League. Pep quite purposely rested him for the Carabao Cup IMO, as he can't risk not having the width he provides for a League campaign where it looks like he's going to need every point he can get.

Sane is the most likely City attacker to play every game up to Jan 2nd IMO (even though I think he will get rested).

    Fabianski
    Robertson Alderweireld Digne
    Sterling (C) Sane Richarlison Fraser
    Kane Aubameyang Wilson

    Subs: Button, Gibbs-White, Bennett, Wan-Bissaka

Lots of Everton vs Spurs this gameweek.

Christmas holidays, feet up, fire lighting, a few drinks, snacks, and a Friday night Premier League game. Bliss!

    Happy Christmas all.

I'm now getting a little worried with my Everton / Spurs assets given the lack of rest between games. Would be happy to sell Ricky for a few weeks if I wasn't losing so much £.

I wouldnt worry about the value. Highly unlikely he will be in your team for the rest of the season anyway. Im always happy to cash in my value .

    Ederson
    Alonso - Rob - Bellerin
    Sterling (c)- Hazard - Son - Fraser - Snodgrass
    Auba - Ings

    Stek, Kamara, Doherty, AWB

Have big Sane/Aguero fear, particularly when I have a suspicion that Auba will be benched for this. Going back and forth on captain between Sterling and Hazard too...

I'd start Jimenez and it wouldn't be a particularly difficult decision for me.

I'd be astonished if Liverpool didn't score and if Wolves do, there's a great chance that Jimenez will be involved.

There's a 0.5m difference in price though (albeit close enough to 0.4 now as Ricky is falling). I realise it's unlikely he'll be in my team all season but if I do get rid for a few weeks and I'm wrong in his potential down turn in points then I'll struggle to get him back without a few moves.

I'd start both, posted somewhere else during the week about this.

Fancy Wolves to score, Jiminez to be involved. Doherty too is like a 6th mid this season, you have him for attacking returns, defensive points a bonus. Even against Liverpool, think both will be involved somewhat
