Eir Holding times

I just spent 55 minutes on hold trying to call Eir Sales. On another phone I spent 40 minute on hold to Eir Technical support.
I filled out 3 call me back forms on the website this week, where it states "we WILL call you back within 24 hours" it is now 72 hours later since the first one I sent in and still haven't heard anything back.
They are an absolute joke of a company. How do they expect to get and keep customers with customer support like that.
I have had issues with them in the past when I was a customer and I decided that I might try them again with all the new work they are doing, thinking they may have improved, they haven't.
I would rather have no internet now, than to be a customer with them.

Also, for all the people out there that are still customers and still sitting on hold trying to talk to you. Please change your music or make a longer playlist, you get sick of the same 3 songs over and over again when listening to them for an hour. I would suggest make a playlist more than an hour long before it loops back in to itself.

They've fired the Indian firm who used to run all contact operations and are in the process of inhousing it. Not going smoothly so far.

I tried some of them, they all told me that I need to get on to Eir directly.
I managed to get on to them about an hour ago, 25 mins on hold. They told me they cant help me and gave me a number for AirWire who told me I shouldn't even have that number and that they can only talk to Eir staff directly. Told me to call Eir back and get Eir to call them.
My issue is I am in a new house and am waiting for them to install the lines to my home, been in the house 6 months so far and Eir promised they would be installed 2 months ago, they weren't, then told me they would be installed on the 19th November and yet again, they weren't.
Sky then told me Eir sometimes hold on to the lines and won't let other providers use them to force new homes to go with Eir, I really don't want to go near them though. Couldn't put up with being on hold 30+ minutes at a time.

That is not correct. But not all of them offer FTTH (or FTTC for that sake).

The site used to indicate, which ones do, but it doesn't anymore. This thread is worth reading: https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057927096

    Try these links:
    http://www.airwire.ie/index.php/products
    https://www.digiweb.ie/ultrafast-ftth-broadband/
    https://n.vodafone.ie/shop/broadband.html

    There are others.
You do not go to Eir directly, if you do not want to become an Eir customer.

Airwire, Digiweb, Vodafone etc: they will take your order and they place the order with Openeir.
