Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gardner on the line has been in the ref's ear all night, still can't pick up the tackles beyond the ruck though.

Jesus I’m no fan of Lavanini but since when has running low into a tackle been dangerous or malicious?

    Intentionally headbutting SOB's arm
    Pure scum.
    Bound to be cited.
    Long ban I'm sure...

Two poor teams. Somebody needs to step up own this half sooner and the colour of their shirt will determine the winners come 8:30PM.

    anyone else watching on streanunter?
They left the feed on. ITs the irish commentary. Oh my god. They selectively said to cut out all irish mistakes and just show the good irish play. Your man Darragh O Brien twisting the narrative. I couldn't believe it

Should stick to hosting Mock The Week

I heard the chat too and thats certainly not my read on what they said. They were just talking about how many clips they need to replay while discussing the issues. DOB simply said something to the effect that we dont need to show every single example of sloppiness, just play a few as a backdrop to the general discussion. Its pretty obvious why he said it too. Its because they have about 3 or 4 minutes to prepare, so no time to analyse every single clip.

I certainly did not get impression that he was "twisting the narrative" by completely cutting out every irish mistake. He even said up front that we were poor.

In fairness if we can pull through this, there is no better preparation

Addison was parachuted in at the last minute, give him a break

Saved a try when Earls and Lamour left the ball bounce between them and he picked it up while moving forward.

Unfair to pick anyone out at the moment, as there are a number of different errors happening - not being clear on the person taking the high ball, taking the wrong option at times. Prefer to have a half like that and still be ahead that a perfect half and be behind

Not blaming him or saying his performance is bad, just I reckon other guys would have done more in the provinces over the years to earn that opportunity

Great kick at the end of that half from Sexton, we really needed that and there was a lot of pressure on him as his performance in the first half was quite disjointed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 719 ✭✭✭flatface

Great game plan so far. The Irish lads have been training fake weaknesses all week. Classic rope a dope. look sloppy today, defensive weaknesses next week. Boards melts down with long lost posters and knife shop owners coming back to call for Schmidt and the team to be hung out to dry. Big articles in all world press about what went wrong, video analysis of key areas ireland can be beaten. Then we turn in back on and monster through everyone in Japan, with a chuckle and a mad glint in Schmidt's eye.

Lavanini has a big track record for cowardly hits on half backs.....watch this space.

No coincidence it was Lavanini that SOB was tackling, watch how he drops the head. Prob some paranoia on my behalf but I don't like the way the guys plays rugby

He intentionally tries to hurt people. He's as bad if not worse than Callum Clarke.

Second time Lamour has been suspect under a high ball there

    Loving this ref.

Players making tackles while off their feet is a huge pet peeve of mine.

For his first teir 1 game the ref is really good. Refreshing to see.

Leavy didn't support his weight on that support, Heaslip says nothing watching the replay.

Lamour very close to being a liability.
    Another awful kick from Sexton.

Ireland intentionally going lower in the tackle and were suffering a bit because of it.

Lamour third time under a high ball that he hasn't dealt with/spilled - someone needs to get into his ear and settle him down as Argentina are going to keep doing that

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,800 ✭✭✭Tomtom364

    Jesus sexton...
I hope he isn't carrying a knock or something. Not on his game at all.

Also someone needs to tell him he could sometimes pass the ball.
