Do you not still have buddies in AGS you could ask for info Pat?

What with you having been in the armed support unit in Dundalk?

Based on posting to Boards and asking what people think happened over and over he was never going to make detective, was he?

He might have a better chance of her showing up if,while at an International Darts tournament,he holds up a placard saying "COME HOME CHRISTINE".

Well that's how real gardai do it anyway.

    Unsettling...

    https://www.garda.ie/en/Missing-Persons/Christine-Doyle.html

    What are your theories?

What is most likely to have happened?

She's in Kazakhstan Pat... now go get her and bring her home.

    Why is it still open?

    Does it not seem suspicious?

Eh! Because She hasn't been found.

It would be more suspicion if she had been found and the case was still open.

    What's your point?

Why would we know or even have the slightest about what happened this random woman 50 years ago, probably most people on here were children at the time or not born and theres absolutely no info to go on, they dont even know her height or age

Perhaps the op is asking as that lady is the longest missing female on the Garda site?

What's most unsettling is the sheer amount of people missing, and families obviously devestated. Some of the names I know as they are high profile missing person cases, but others I've never heard of......

Interestingly, some of these issues have only been discussed last week in the Seanad:
Senator Burke proposes that I should “establish a new section for unidentified human remains which will centralise information and streamline the identification process”. He has previously submitted to me, a proposal from a well-respected Forensic Anthropologist that a Forensic Human Remains Identification Specialist position be established and located within the Department’s ambit.

If they really are going to do something proactive about it remains to be seen.

    She looks unusual.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Terenure Garda Station.

    The case is open.

    What likely happened?

I don't get you, how is she unusual looking? She looks like your average middle aged Irish woman of the period.
