    It's kept open because they haven't found her or a body. Maybe they are really suspicious of someone and are waiting for them to make a mistake and reveal themselves.

    On a serious note I do think some boards admins should take note of this and send the OPs ip address onto the Gardaí because this is really unusual behaviour.

    Nah, a murderer would never be stupid enough to make a thread about it. Or maybe that's what he wants us to think and this thread is to throw us off the scent. Hiding his guilt buy looking perplexed and asking loudly "what possibly could have happened". This is starting to seem like deja vu, or maybe it was the panto, I can't remember.

    I don't understand why the OP has chosen to centre in on this particular case which has next to no info on it, other than the woman's name, and where she disappeared from, and what date last seen.

    Couple of fairly grainy black and white photos.

    Apart from that, zilch, yet the OP seems bewildered as to what possibly happened, and why the case is still opened (my guess is it's because she was never found.... and I'm no detective)

    Kinda creepy thread tbh.

    Perhaps the op is asking as that lady is the longest missing female on the Garda site?

    What's most unsettling is the sheer amount of people missing, and families obviously devestated. Some of the names I know as they are high profile missing person cases, but others I've never heard of......

    Why would we know or even have the slightest about what happened this random woman 50 years ago, probably most people on here were children at the time or not born and theres absolutely no info to go on, they dont even know her height or age

    Interestingly, some of these issues have only been discussed last week in the Seanad:
