It turns out that he was just removed from a free web service for violating their T&Cs. It's like if I called you a pedo here and threatened your life, which I have not and got banned from boards - it wouldn't be that controversial. It would be the correct action, actually.

I get that people dislike censorship, but having a problem with someone's content being removed when this content includes unfounded fabrications in relation to murdered children and their grieving families - and holding this up as someone's freedom of speech being repressed... is just cognitive dissonance of quite the magnitude.

What about children killed by jet bombers from countries declaring the missions that killed them as being legit fighting "terroism" so to speak, should they stay up too or be removed as the beliefs of innocent victims were "wrong" according to those who bombed them?

It's very simple. These people know that Jones is a friend of Trump so they jump to his defense before seeing what he is. They are reactionaries. It's feels over reals.



You'll notice that the defenses are free speech related despite the fact that the platforms also have free speech rights.

Of course content relating to them shouldn't be removed but how does that parallel with stating that the Sandy Hook massacre didn't take place and child actors were used for fake photographs of these people who were not killed because nobody was killed?

I don't think I've heard or read anyone saying they support Jones at all. I think everybody knows he's a raving lunatic and just stuck around for the grins and giggles, right?

In fact, I think the left wing idealogues have scored an own goal by silencing him - he was a liability to anyone with conservative leanings. They should have left him keep rabbiting on making a fool of himself but left wing idealogues love slaying dragons too much.

Oddly enough, he has appeared in two films that I actually like - Linklater's Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly. Even stranger still, I respected him once but in my defense, I was young and an idiot.

Were the conspiracy theorists who harassed Sandy Hook family members followers of Jones though? He definitely has supporters.

I think this goes beyond just silencing someone who's not left-wing (which I would wholeheartedly disagree with).

This is someone who caused grieving families additional pain.
