    I saw the trailer on the big screen before Doctor Sleep last night. I have to say that some of the effects look a bit ropy. They shot of the ruins of the Death Star looks pretty bad.

    As discussed earlier in the thread, these films aren't test screened. Though that's far from being the least believable part of that blog post.

    Whether it's meant to be any good or not I will wait for a quiet afternoon in January to see this. Not a fan of TLJ but even so it was ruined for me by ejits laughing at evvvvverything.

    No matter what I think of VIII, I can't deny that the visuals were something to marvel at. From what I've seen of IX, I think it's possible that it could be the best looking Star Wars movie yet.

    Get a sense of huge scale both narratively and cinematically from these trailers. They feel a whole lot bigger than any from the other films. Abrams is somewhere saying they’ve gone as big as they possibly could. That shot of the rear of the falcon and whatever way the shot of Rey and the two lightsabers is framed, definitely feels like he’s changed it up.
