    This whole thing has the potential to be a complete shambles.

    And the Papal Visit.

    If the day is anyway wet the attendance will be low. After all the tickets were free and no loss to anyone.

    Great, fying made less attractive for people with smallies...

    Maybe the planes might be less full with mewling rugrats in the future....

    The wheeled buggies could be used to ferry the invalids from earlier. Combine both show items for a super Lahvlahn solution. Pushed along by taxi drivers.

    The airlines need to start doing kid free planes (and I say that as a parent!) Reckon there'd be a huge market for it.

    At least the powers that be have thought of that. Morgue to be set up;

    https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/morgue-set-to-be-built-in-phoenix-park-for-papal-visit-37184520.html

    (would love to call in on some pretence and start describing in detail the lanes and footpaths of somewhere Joe doesn't know, Muff in Cavan, for example).

    I wunder how many bodies de morgue on wheels fits, and how full will it get. They’ll need it refrigetated, could be handy to put the cold meat and woine for de picnic.

    Being old or frail doesn’t mean you don’t have the go in you. They remain healthier if active and out and about.

    Yes a drop o' de wine n bread at the mass might have them out doing the 5 minute mile on de journey home so to speak.

    Jeez, never actually thought about the 'mass' part, will they be giving out communion to the entire park (not the pope himself) but the priests and dat?

    "May it never happen again."
    Humph. Best of luck with that.

    What's the problem here? Is Duffy trying to stir up sh*te against a few bells being rung?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,117 ✭✭✭DoctorEdgeWild

    There's enough time to ring in regarding your scope so to speak.

    I kinda get the feeling he was sorta hoping it might go against it, so he could preside over the usual shyt-stirring and claim some credit.
