Evidently we don't have a housing crisis, just an interruption-in-your-enjoyment-of-the-radio crisis.

a housing crisis and a homeless crisis are two different things.

PBH and his media ilk are to blame for this homelessness hysteria. Utter nonsense.

Effortless “journalism” for them to collect their fat cheques.

If you have either 2 girls or 2 boys you have to keep going to get either a boy or girl to get the 3 bedroom house.

Parent (s) bedroom, boys bedroom and girls bedroom. Was told this many years ago by a 'friend' who was on a waiting list for housing.

The woman is dead right, why is she being treated like a Nazi. Everybody should be given a helping hand, but people should not be allowed to have the state pay for everything for them. Is it too much to ask of a citizen that they actually do something to try to make a better situation for themselves, instead of asking the State to pick up ALL of their mistakes.

Unfortunately, in our society, as soon as you raise the idea of citizens taking some semblence of personal resonsibility, you are accused of being intolerant and unsympathetic.

We seem to have moved to polarised positions on many social topics with people on both sides approaching issues it in a very balck and white way.

Of course there are exceptions, hard cases and genuinely sympathetic situations and these are often used to mask the rampanant entitlement culture.

Shows like liveline tend to solidify the for and against attititudes to topics by being generally confrontational in approach and often agenda driven.

I'd actually prefer Joe to this. At least he is legitimately clueless. PBH just lives in the clouds.
