Have you ever tried to give a toddler a shower. Also babies can't go in the shower.

    What about a baby shower?

Who washes their duvets more to the point (except a one off like spilling/sick on it etc which might happen once every many many years in which case the cost of a launderette will hardy break someone).

I think you will find most people do wash duvets and also pillow regularly (at least once a year). When changing from my summer duvet to winter, and vice versa, the one being removed gets washed (and very thoroughly dried) before storage. I take mine to a launderette with a large capacity washer and dryer.

Pillows in particular need to be washed every few months, they can be full of dead skin cell, dust mites and other allergens. I replace my pillows with new ones once a year or so, on the bed that is used pretty much all the time. Spare room pillows much less frequently of course.

I think this is pretty standard.

God only knows how old my pillows are and they have never been washed, that’s what pillow cases are for.

I don’t change duvet cover between summer and winter either same one all year, just gets kicked off if too hot at night during the summer.

You should try buying new pillows, it will change your whole sleep life to have proper support.

If you put the pillow over your arm, and it droops down on either side, it no longer provides good support, and it needs replacing. Pillows are not that expensive, it is worth buying good ones and replacing them when needed.

Old pillows are a hazard, the problem is what to do with them.....got several.

My doctor says I have vertigo and it's been really bad for about 3 days now.
The thoughts of sitting in a nice hot bath with an iced drink and some music is making me sad. It would be lovely!

Been plugging the bath while having a shower lately. Bucket the water down to water the flowers.

I only take a bath if there's no jacks roll left in the house and my hole is in dire need of cleaning

I hate new pillows as the pillows I use for ages are moulded into the shape of my head and are exactly the right height. New pillows are so hard to get to be the right height, one thick one or two thinner ones etc to get the right height and you can't test them in the shop really so I stick with what I have and is comfortable.

That above would apply to a tiny number of people. Most people don’t have wetsuits or use sleeping bags (they can be washed ina washing machine anyway), don’t wash their duvets and most don’t have dogs and if they do a hose out the back will wash them fine.

Arent you that guy that only showers once a week or something like that?

    Jaysis you're grim.

I'm pretty sure that's something most people do (they also shower/bathe regularly, believe it or not). I prefer a very light duvet, so it fits in the washing machine. They dry surprisingly quickly too.

For one thing, baths just seem like a massive waste of space... I mean come on, when was the last time you had a bath? :o For me, it was when I was 10 or 11 I think... a shower is not only way more efficient but you don't get to lye in your own filth! You can get so much more space in any bathroom without the bloody bath that is never used!

Have baths in houses & apartments had their day?

If you have small babies or very young kids you are hardly going to throw them into the shower. So of course you need a bath!

Also, if you have muscle aches or other ailments, sitting in warm baths can help

Animal shelters are always grateful for donations of old pillows, other bedding, towels, etc.

Of course not. Corner them in the yard and two minutes with the power washer.

    Job done.

You can put a baby bath anywhere for a small baby . For a toddler its easy too , move the shower head temporarily down onto a stick on holder on the tiles and toddler will love a shower if its low down at his shoulder level

Even with a bath babies are usually washed in the sink (well that’s what I’ve seen done anyway). Toddlers can have a small bath in the shower or just a shower.

At home I couldn't tell you the last time I had a shower. Always baths.

My kids spend hours in the bath playing with toys during the winter. Even now, the older one takes all his Star Wars men in and spends ages in there. He also learned to use the mask and snorkel in the bath! Very handy for holidays!

One day you too may be older and fear falling in the bath or shower. Per the N.Y. Times more than one third of accidental injuries in the home take place in the bathroom.
