The 2 Opens at Carnoustie in my lifetime had serious drama at the end, hoping for more of the same.

Best course on Open rota for me, ahead of Turnberry. 99 was a bit severe but it was fun all the same.

It seems the weather conditions are going to be relatively benign this year. Also the rough will probably be a bit 'wispy' due to the long dry spell. It's possible that this years Open challenge will be a bit tame compared to previous Opens on this links.

Easier alright but approach shots will be hard to control and getclose so a really good chipper,putter (5-15 feet) needed for the week.
