why would anybody tolerate an organisation that was (is?) complicit in and facilitated child abuse?

Were all priests, popes, bishops responsible. Collective responsibility so. Like a teacher who punishes the entire class for the action of the bold student.

the institution was. Every time this is brought up the supporters of the church regurgitate the same tired attempts at distraction.

Is this about the Jews being responsible for all the wars again?

    only in your head.

But your also protesting individual catholics, not the institution. You're hurting ordinary catholics who want to go, not the institution.

any chance of an intelligent response?

We'll call your argument the Al Quaida defence

By breaking the organization into separate cells, one being taken down does not affect the rest of them.

So by not having a single hierarchical structure to provide checks and control. you think it is preferable to allowing smaller local groupings to be in control. I think that's a good plan alright. As in it would be better if the local priests did not have to report to a bishop who had to report to an archbishop etc.

Well a conspiracy theory saying that Jews were responsible for most wars is as legitimate and evidenced based as your assertion that the Catholic Church is currently complicit in and facilitates child abuse

You should pass on the incontrovertible evidence that you have of same to the Guards. Or Interpol or the UN even.

Unless you are talking out of your arse of course. Surely not eh?

It's ok if you can't understand it.

    I didn't expect you to.

Don't think anyone is asking you not to criticize anything

It's more about obstructing people's rights to make their own choices and decisions. And to prevent them from having something that might make them happy.

If you think your self-righteousness should be enough to deny any Turkish person the right to vote for Erdogan then that is a whole world away from you criticizing whatever he does

If people have to right to go and enjoy a mass then people also have the right to protest.

Turkish people have the right to vote for who they want but it does not mean he's a good president. Nothing to do with my self righteousness.

Anyhow, I'm ending this now as I just think you're just arguing for the sake of it.

So who's going to see the Pope?
The folks in the first three rows... he'll be a bloop on the horizon to the other 99% of people there on the day.

Nobody is suggesting that any person does not have a right to protest.

What is depressing are the gobshites whose stated purpose is simply to deny others the opportunity to attend something that is harming nobody

If you read it properly you will see i put a ? after "is". There is some doubt about their current activities.

    Ok. You mean like this

So we'll agree that the Jews were (are?) responsible for all historical and current wars

Strange then that you'd be supporting child abusing Rabbis

(It's conspiracy theory and demagoguery. That's all)

Do i? where have i said that?

So whats your view then. Do you support those taking tickets with no intention of going.

Protest outside is fine. Not this lazy keyboard warrior way of stopping people who genuinely want to go.

Id say it start off a new trend of blocking people who want to see various speakers

Personally I think it's a bit of a dickish move tbh.

A bit like protesting high rail fares by stopping other people from getting on the train

wait a minute. You decide to ask me for my view after attacking me for it? I have a 3 word response for that. the first and third words are go and yourself.

Well at least we now agree on those pesky Jews and their lizard people world domination ambitions.

And of course 9/11 being an inside job etc

    It's a start

You would considee yourself a good man by denying people the chance to see the Pope?

Be giving yourself a pat on the back at all, you're still doing nothing, you're simply trying to deny good people the opportunity of doing something.

I'm not upset by your actions at all, it's exactly what I would have expected when I found out the tickets were being distributed in this way. It's the actions of a small minority that are attempting to spoil the occasion for everyone else, and then you'll be back cribbing about how everyone is being unfair to you. You shouldn't be surprised when that continues to happen.
