    No growth!!! In this heat and with watered greens all greens should be as good as they get at present, if they've no growth then I assume they are not watering their greens which is crazy

    Carne is buying water - when we were there on Tuesday there was a huge tanker emptying water into Carne's reservoir. The club is on a municipal water supply so they are limited in what they can take. Could be the same at Donegal.

    I think what they actually meant was that if they cut them, the sun would scorch and kill the short grass, leaving it dead and the greens scorched and brown, much like a lot of fairways.
