I see that I was late for the two games today. Still managed to get them outrageously wrong!

Laois being beaten throws whole thing in the air. Thought they would beat Westmeath today but that Westmeath are one of strongest teams in it. Can see Meath and Kerry being at receiving end of similar tankings as today.

1. Whatever about venue, it is important that the time of each match is shown in the week's first post.

2. Because the thread was opened very late last week I have decided that latecomers (including jjjd) will be allowed to post longterm JoeMcDonagh predictions up to the start of the earliest fixtures this coming weekend i.e. 1p.m. next Saturday. I will not accept amendments from those who have already posted. If this seems arbitrary and discriminatory I can only say, mea culpa, that the thread was opened very much at the last minute and may have caught some unawares. For me it's either this or sackcloth and ashes. Needless to say newcomers will not be credited for predicting last weekend's games.

3. I have decided on an innovation as follows: Where a team is predicted to win a competition (i.e. All-Ireland, Joe McDonagh, Christy Ring, Nicky Rackard or Lory Meagher) and that team is runner up the poster will be awarded one point. Conversely, where the poster predicts runner up status for a team and that team wins the poster will also be awarded one point.
