The hard work, good choices and high achievement of their ancestors decided it. They're part of a successful bloodline.

    Jesus Christ.

Technology. Even in stat trek, people read books. Not just fiction but factual.

Too much reliance on the web. Breeding a generation of idiots!

Ted Kaczynski was probably right. Very bad at expressing his misgivings it must be said.

I wish the cultural phenomenon of the past 40 years or less of both parents having to go out to work to pay for the same house that one income would have paid for in 1970 would end very fúcking soon. A massive theft of our freedom and our children raised by outsiders for most of their youngest years. Having a million shíte channels on a tv will never, ever, ever compensate for that loss in standard of living.

And having to look after sick children through the night when both parents must be up in a few hours for important days in work just tops off how fúcked-up is this cultural change, and why population is only going to decline further in "advanced" western societies where priorities are this upside down.

The way social media has made it acceptable for people to constantly boast about themselves and present a false and exaggerated image of themselves and their lives. In fact it's now the done thing and anyone who doesn't do it or cheerlead others doing it is seen as a bit weird.
