FFS, of all the places I'd think to read a Ep9 spoiler, it wasn't Killing Eve thread. Utterly brainless.

S3 had better be an improvement on S2 or I won't get as far as 4.

Ah no, I didn't mean to write. If you haven't seen 9 by now you're not a fan anyway.

God more of this proper fan crap! Your not a proper fan if! Your not a proper fan because! These posts need **** off I'm seeing them more and more these days.

I am curious about what does one need to do to be seen as a fan?

Do they need to have posters on their bedroom wall or maybe a duvet cover.

No, that would look rather silly in the bedroom of a grown man, though many do buy the merchandise.

Attending the new movie release sometime in its first week and knowing the canon makes you a fan. Lets say fortnight to allow for those busy at Christmas.

The lad who had it organised to see a special screening of 9 before its cinema release in his hospice before he died from terminal illness. THATS a fan.

No, you're not the arbiter of fandom, nor is it an excuse to sorry-not-sorry on posting such a big spoiler in a totally unrelated thread. It was thoughtless and I'm guessing accidental so we're going to leave it at that.

Let's stick to Killing Eve instead of this One True Scotsman nonsense.

    Finaly on to Season 2!!

2.1:  at her snapping Gabriels neck like that! Alright, it's been a while so maybe my memory is hazy. I didn't remember Villanelle being this much callously psychotic.

I think she was trying to be merciful in her own messed up way. After he said he didn't want to go on living like that, she put him out of his misery.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

2.2: WTF! I thought he was dead! Just before that I was thinking about how yer man capturing Villanelle was really put into perspective given she'd just killed Julian.. and just before that I was leaning towards thinking how the whole season might just creep along until Villanelle dies from not getting anti-biotics!

All in all.. a decent episode.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

2.3: That was brilliant! Villanelle is going into a shark frenzy over this other killer!

    I like it! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

2.4: I'd thought maybe that Ghost would have similar fighting skills to eve.. but I guess it makes sense that not all assassins need fighting skills to get their kills.

Also.. a Dutch cover of Angel of the Morning! :D
Killing Eve is the top comment! :D

Deadpool still top comment for Juice Newton! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

2.5: That was a bit wierd. Felt all a bit hazy when they brought Villanelle and Eve together. Carolyn really shining out as a mastermind this season. I'm not sure if she/the tweleve/just the scriptwriters might not actually be trying to turn Eve into an assassins more than anything else.

I wonder what Villanelle did with Ghost. Guessing that's gonna be explained.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

2.6: That was great! Felt like Villanelle handled planting herself as a spy the only way she could have and I wouldn't be surprised if it worked. These two women at the end though.. feels like Villanelle is just gonna kill them to blow off steam at not being able to kill yer man...

.. although.. surely killing yer man might solve all the problems of his big scheme no?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

2.7: Well.. Villanelle definitely let off some steam! I can almost see this leading to her hurting/killing Eve.

Finished: Overall, the whole season was better than season 1. I remembered feeling like there was a lull during the first season. Not this time!

2.8: Carolyn definitely on point as mastermind! Killing yer man obviously the solution from before. I note the bleed out at the end showing she shot Eve where she had been stabbed in season 1! Clever! :)

Roll on Season 3! There's gonna be soo many repercussions!

An OK opening episode that ended with a bang.

Agree, it was just okay. Had forgotten that PWB is not writing it this season. The dialogue in the first episode lacked the humour and sharpness of the opening two seasons I thought.

I don't even think she wrote all of season 1 (I think it was only 4 eps).

I liked the first episode of season 3, cracking ending!

That was an ok episode but nothing great. I have a question do. At the beginning in the gym was that Villeneave doing the gymnastics or who was it?
Also Eve was shot at the end of last season by Villeneave in Rome but now she is working at some Korean restaurant in London. They seem to have skipped a bit there.

It was Dasha her former handler/trainer, it was in 1974 Villanelle wouldn't have been born.
Yes time has quite clearly moved on, Eve survived because tourists happened upon her in Rome we learn from her conversation with Kenny & Villanelle thinks Eve is dead we learn from her wedding speech

Thank you. That is what I was think about Villanelle just wanted to be sure. I did not know it was her former trainer do. It did not seem to add much to the episode do.

I enjoyed this week's episode. It was nice to see a human side to Carolyn.

Episode 2 of season 3 was excellent imo.
Interested to see where the season goes.
the new guy didn't last long! Vicious! The mic in the magnet was a pretty obvious twist I thought.

Is Konstantin the father to either of Carolyn's children? There seemed to be some level of doubt or implied connection with the daughter.

I thought Fiona Shaw was the star of the show in the latest episode, her acting was excellent. She plays the role so credibly, especially when you see her in real life.

I dunno about this season. Only 2 episodes in but there's a shade of repetition going on that makes it feel like we're 3 seasons in and nothing has changed. Obviously there have been Big Events, not least at the start of season 3, but fundamentally the characters feel stationary. The central conceit of the shoe - Villanelle and Eve - hasn't moved much and feels like we're heading back to the same pattern again. Hopefully I'm wrong as episodes pan out.

Episode 3 of this series was excellent for me.
Fiona Shaw got a bit more to do which always helps.

Sure, I'll see myself soon enough when I catch up. Just not convinced the writers know what their characters want, cos it doesn't come out on screen. The show is a hit so wonder if they're just in a cycle of "just churn out the same".

Just caught up on this. Think season 1 has been the best.
For the new season what happened the wife from the beginning? Was the marriage annulled?

Had to laugh at the editing at one point in the latest episode. When Eve was talking to Mo in the street, a redhead in purple jumpsuit walked past them multiple times

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,306 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

Season 3 episode 4 was a lot of fun!

Tbh though I am kind of over the whole office storyline. I would love more of the Fiona Shaw character.

    Good idea
killing off Nico he has been
a dead weight for a long time in the show.

Dasha planned the kill so well that she took into account flying from England to Poland (including possible delays) and then getting from the airport to what looks like the middle of nowhere.

There is a lot of international travel in this and they seem to travel as fast as the characters in Game of Thrones.

This criticism always baffles me tbh. Do you want them to show characters packing, going through security at the airport and having a pint in the bar or what? It's made up drama, not every day life.

Yeah, it's a very silly thing to criticise.

So why was Konstantin visiting Carolyn's house?

Also, the location shoots (besides the office block) have been fabulous this season.
