Talking to my noisy and excited family on video call and seeing how happy they are with their presents. Then being able to relax with my wife and watch films and eat rubbish. I also got a karaoke microphone and I've been screeching for half the day, delighted with myself :D

Can't bate catching up on how you're kids friends are getting on now, a sure sign of getting old.

"Very soon we are going to Mars. You wouldn't have been going to Mars if my opponent won, that I can tell you. You wouldn't even be thinking about it."

And so it begins once again. Wish me well.

Having everyone still sat around the Christmas table this year. So many people in our area have died and I know it won't be like this forever so feeling grateful that everyone's here for this one

This year Quality Street have a gold "tin" (not the plastic) , it's like going back decades. For some reason, i'm enjoying the chocs in a way I haven't done for years.

It's all in the head, but I love a proper tin. And yes that tin will have some Christmas decorations in it when I go hunting for my xmas stuff next December.

Buying a Subway sandwich, tea, water, wet wipes and dog biscuits - trivial,
and giving them to a homeless man with a chiwawa in his lap - not so trivial.

It genuinely is the little things right ?

Remember the days before digital technology and one rain shower and you'd not get through to a call ? Lovely Xmas Day story that!

The string thing on a bag of coal , that you snip and just pull and it unravels along the bag and opens ?
That usually ends in failure , and I have to saw along the top of the bag to try open it..

    Today , it worked !
It really is the little things that amuse me :D
