Photos of the younger grandchildren, in their Christmas PJs as they head to bed, have been drifting in all night. All so cute. And the youngest wee man looks a bit better, as he tries to eat the carrot left for Rudolph.

Happy Christmas to you all, counting my blessings and remembering all the little kindnesses that happen on this and the TTTA and WAYRN threads! It's not such a bad place!

Happy that for a brief spell my family on an island off BC, with no power or phones since last week after a storm, had a phone connection. YAY! A good chat with a familiar voice at Christmas..can settle to carols and peace now and rest...

My daughter getting up at 5.30 and trying to sneak downstairs...
I called out it was only 4am and santa wouldn't have been yet......she went back to bed!!!
She doesn't believe this year, but she was still taking no chances...only trouble is, she's fast asleep now and I'm waiting for her to get up! :)

Phone calls from my family in the UK. Much more personal than a text or email.
