Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So they use the replay for that but not for a high tackle. Crazy

Strange how the replay was used for that but not the high tackle.....10 point swing on 2 decisions

Whatever about the Sexton missed kicks, the big worry is our limp attacking play once again. How can we go to playing a game plan where against Italy, the Irish players were comfortable on the ball, prepared to play from deep and good offloading to this. It's the one out runners, crash ball to Aki and Farrell, playing too much through the middle as our attacking strategy. The main positive so far is our breakdown work. I really fear that this could be a repeat of France again where we try to crash, bang and wallop our way to win. In international rugby that just won't cut it I'm afraid.

We are making the errors and handing Wales the points.

Review that but not the high tackle...infuriating

All Ireland for 20 minutes and then Wales score a try with basically their first attack.

Same as France game. This Ireland team can’t score tries which is a bit of a problem at top level rugby.

We have been terrible. All territory and mistake after mistake

6 handling errors and losing aerial battles. Mistakes and not winning the 50:50s is killing us.

We are dust now. Wales looking very fluent.

The game hadnt stopped for the Kearney HT and nobody was lobbying for it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

That’s a boot from Kearney. Wales robbed

What a pity they didn't show the same concern to review the high tackle on Kearney which led to the Welsh try.

    Totally underestimated Wales

    Based on what?

They should be two for two and Ireland started with 6 lads with a handful of international caps

Nobody could have predicted Sexton's kicking however

  • Registered Users Posts: 468 ✭✭Gidea

Ref goes back for foul play for that but not when Aki was shoulder charged for the welsh try:rolleyes:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,536 ✭✭✭touts

If Ireland don't get a grip on themselves (and it is all down to their own poor play) then we could be on the end of a tournament ending hiding in the second half.

Kearney beaten in the air and tries to make amends by giving away that penalty. Sexton can't kick snow off a rope. We're getting turned over in contact a load, Aki has given away two idiotic penalties, just dreadful for the most part. So much avoidable too.

Yeah thought that was high too

Halfpenny is a beautiful, beautiful man. No homer.

    C'MON IRELAND!!!!!

2 most disciplined teams so far in the tournament and both are giving away a lot of penalties.

    We've scored 9 tries since that game:pac:

Farrell is nailing his name onto the 13 jersey today. Having an excellent game so far

    Dumb from stander and healy

Keith Earls in acres of space there, we were playing with advantage. Criminal not to take the shot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

We are the most conservative team in world rugby 5 meters from the opposition line

  • Registered Users Posts: 475 ✭✭PHG

Finally attacking running on to the ball instead of being static

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,880 ✭✭✭Hippo

Why did that not go wide! We seem determined not to win this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,369 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Farrell best Irish player by a fair bit. Backrow making a name too.

Why on earth did we not go wide in that phase of play there. Crash, bang and wallop stuff yet again.

Disgraceful decision to kick that loser mentality

How many penalties did Wales give there? Very cynical in at the side to allow the ball from their 6, warranted a yellow if it had been seen, Jackson on the wrong side.

Healy has been an absolute beast in this first half.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,243 ✭✭✭C__MC

    Still
Think Ireland have a great chance making plenty of line breaks

Because its too risky until our midfield settle. Sexton needed a settler and you always take your points

Nothing but one out runners again from five metres out. An inevitable conclusion. Clueless.

Farrell did really well to nearly get a try there. Shame that it didn't get anything as it went to the middle posts.

Nah. Needed to go for the points. Lots of game time left .

Clever by Murray to wait there. Good to get that penalty.

It's too risky to try something when we have penalty advantage. Right.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 259 ✭✭Claregaafan18

Absolute rubbish play with this box kicking from Murray just going only 3 or 4 yards extra. If that is part of our attacking strategy then I give up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,291 ✭✭✭tanko

Wales are offside at almost every play and get away with it, why dont Ireland do the same?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,369 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Too risky? It was a penalty advantage.

The way we're managing to give away reverse penalties, id take no chances until everyone has their head sorted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,413 ✭✭✭chupacabra

Jackson doesnt ref the offside line does he?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,467 ✭✭✭✭lawred2

Wales are putting 4 or 5 lads one man out from each ruck... Yet we keep trying to run through them
