Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

As per the title i'm selling an Ase Utra Northstar Suppressor.

The Ase Utra NorthStar are a robust and effective suppressor designed for centrefire rifles. Manufactured in Finland by Ase Utra OY, NorthStar suppressors are manufactured out of 300 series stainless steel for longevity. The sound moderator significantly reduces recoil and heard report of a shot.

    Tech Specs:
    • Caliber: .30cal
    • Thread: M14x1
    • Weight: 660 to 700 grams.
    • Over barrel fitting
    • Dimensions:
      1. 198mm long,
      2. 47.5mm in diameter,
      3. 100mm added to the length of the rifle.
    • Noise Reduction: 22 to 26 dB (depending on ammunition type, calibre, measurement, location etc.).

It's in perfect working order and well minded. Low round count, but cannot be sure of the exact number.

    Price €100 to include postage.

Buyer will need to show "S" on the license before any sale.

    Thanks for looking.

M14 X 1 thread I expect will not fit half inch unf thread.

    No.

1/2" is 12.7mm plus with it being unf the thread pitch is wrong.

Would it be too expensive to modify it. I am looking for a suppressor for a .22 magnum.

The Suppressor? Wouldn't work. You'd have to remove the threading of the mod which means drilling it out "smooth" and then rethreading it to the right thread size. As M14 is larger than 1/2" as is, as soon as it was drilled out it'd be way too large to take the 1/2" thread.

The only options i know of are rethreading the rifle or buying a spigot/adaptor that has 1/2" unf on one side and M14 on the other. I've seen them for 1/2"x20UNF to 1/2"x28 unef, but not many other adaptions.

There probably wouldn't be enough room to play with as the difference between both sizes is too small.

Just wouldn't work out lad. Better off looking for something already threaded in 1/2"unf or if the rifle will take it going for another thread job on the rifle but that'll run you at the low end €50 to €120 on the high end. Then the price of the suppressor on top of it.
