I was out on roads near this earlier today, was considering doing the Muur but the fact that it never went above -4c and thought of a headwind on the way back put me off going that far. Still can't feel my feet.

Bitterly cold but sunny and dry so road conditions shouldn't be a problem (although I passed a burst pipe and the road was like glass). Perhaps potential for crosswinds too assuming my orientation was ok.

I switched over from the stream on the player at 14:30 and they were still showing snowboarding then over again 10 minutes later and they had Watts on ffs.

Saw that earlier- by the look of him it was probably Stijn Vendenberge; I think he's from the Oudenaarde area; if I remember correctly, during his Quickstep days, Lefevre called him the equivalent of a 'thick gobshxxxx' or the Flemish equivalent; not the sharpest tool but to be fair he is fine cobbled classics rider and I assume he knows what he's doing. He will be a close ally for Naesen this season; outside chance he might even ride the Tour along with Bardet
