Never been to one of these but tempted by this one. According to their twitter page:
It'll be 116EUR for VIP, 35EUR for GA.

For 100 quid Big Bill better be singing some show tunes.

    35 aint bad though

Dammit, was thinking of catching the next one of these myself but the wife's parents are visiting from Oz for 3 weeks at that time. Oh well, Big Bill and his showtunes can wait I guess :D

vip gets you a professional photo and autograph. its 220 at axcess for this and with inside the ropes you also get the show.
and as someone who flew over to manchester for this last year it will not dissapoint! found bill to be a very nice guy and the show was amazing.kenny keeps pulling it out of the bag by bringing these shows to ireland and the uk.

For 116 quid I’d be expecting the organizers to give me my own “Goldberg entrance” as I walk into Vicar St and to be split in two by a ferocious spear by the man himself.

im only going on what you get for this compared to other places.people have no problem paying 100-150 for concert tickets but complain about 115 for a show like this which is as good as a concert and you get to meet the man himself. i suppose each to there own though

I wouldnt pay 116 bucks for Access either.

Its just not good value for money at that price for a pic and autograph.

Mick Foley and less recently Bret Hart were much more reasonable.

I think you'll find people complaining about 1oo euro concerts too.

35 bucks is reasonable for the show, no arguements, an extra 80 bucks for a meet and greet is not

oh as i said each to there own some will complain as they dont find it good. others wont. everyone has there own opinion. as someone who went to the show in manchester i would really advise going.

depends on how big a fan you are and what your money situation is! i was a big fan of goldberg and opted to pay it and was happy. saying that i paid 150 dollars to meet hulk hogan when i was in orlando last year! but then at axcess there is guys that are free to meet and wrestlcon there is some alot cheaper but i wouldnt que up to meet them as they dont interest me! so its all down to what you see as value for money. it was 130 to meet hbk and go to the show a few months back and there was 1000 went.not all paid the 130 as there was general admission too but a lot of people did pay this!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I suppose it depends on how big a fan you are of him as you say. I like Bill and would be probably willing to pay 65-70 for VIP but more than that is too steep for me to justify personally. The regular price seems reasonable to me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,554 ✭✭✭Blue_Dabadee

I might go just to see him in person, but you probably only hear one or two interesting stories outside typical episode on a podcast show.

will this sell out fast ?

I wonder is Goldberg over here on a holiday with the family next July and decided 'feck it I might as well do a show over here and make a bit of $$$$'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,950 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

AFAIK this is the only show on the tour and seems odd

why would GB fly all the over here for 1 show ???. Unless hes over recording a movie or on a wwe promo tour too

A guy like Goldberg you either like him or u hate him and i knw a lot of wrestling fans who dislike him

Previous ITR shows were sellouts cause wrestling fans love Y2J and HBK

Im going cause i like Goldberg and its prob chance of seeing him live in person. He was a big deal in the wrestling world and was one of the first mainstream big guys

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,950 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

i actually wonder will do this go ahead

It already got moved venues and is currently not on sale on TM atm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,950 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

    ticket arrived today

Still says vicar street and my seat number/section there ???

i imagine the Tivoli will be first come first served then ??

Price seems shocking to me. Flair was doing meet & greets for £40 a couple of years ago and he's Ric f***in Flair! Triple that for the 40 second squash master that was a big deal for a grand total of about 4 years over 20 years?

Ticket sales must be awful, got send a code today for 20% off tickets.

Tivoli has a balcony of sorts in that there's a slightly raised portion about two feet above the floor in front of stage*. There wouldn't be many seats on the floor - this is where OTT have their wrestling shows and the ring is on the floor and about 40 seats.

*There are also 4 view restricting columns so it might be a good idea to check with the promoter.

Yeah I asked on Facebook and they told me the first 5 rows are for VIP and nothing else

Could be a mess on the night

venue map is here, still have to clarify where people with Balcony seats for Vicar street will sit ???

dont think it will sell out but dont want there to be a big mess with the GA seating on the night

At this rate I fear it will be just you and Bill having a chat.

FB event page has 89 other people down to go 😀

Surly it would of been cancelled if Ticket sales were very poor

I'd say big bill might be over his holidays and decided to do a show here for a bit of extra $$$

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,954 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

Ah no I joke, if I had time Id have gone to it. He wouldn't be a huge fav of mine compared to others but hes surely worth a listen and should have some good stories.

Any decent pubs around the venue for a few pre event pints ??

Thomas House on Thomas St is a hip spot with old rock and roll/rockabilly type music, wide selection of beers and they show the odd bit if wrestling in their TV. There are a good few pubs on Thomas St but I've always found them to be a bit dodgy.

Fallon's at the bottom of Francis St is your old-man local type of place frequented by a younger crowd.

There's a bar directly across from the Tivoli, forget what it's called or what it's like atm

thanks il prob get out at Hueston and walk to the tivoli from there. for the HBK show had a pint in JK Stoutmans and it was a nice quite spot.

saw on FB Buskers on the ball are showing Extreme Rules in full but its starting at 6pm. Would of been ideal if they held the Goldberg thing there and then showed the PPV
