    What on earth was that?

    That's game over.

Awfully executed kick that only put Munster under more pressure.

Jesus. Just when you think Keatley has changed his ways and is playing well, he reverts to old ways.

Right call by Kleyn to give the penalty away

    Keatley shocking...

One error under pressure??? Bit harsh.

The importance of claiming re-starts never better illustrated as those last 2

    Tiernan O'Halloran
    Nonsense from Farrell. Never on.

    Dang.

Kleyn potentially just won Munster a LBP and stopped Racing getting a TBP- clever 3 points to give away

Why did o'mahony go off so early?

    Free Palestine 🇵🇸

**** sake referee. 4 seconds advantage in which we went backwards.

    Some terrible decisions late on.

You dont have to go forward for advantage to be over.

Tameifuna looking forward to his McDonalds at the end there

    not ideal result

if Castre win with a BP later vs Leicester than they have every chance of making it to the QFs

all guns blazing next week from Munster

Munster handled the last 20 minutes so badly. Poor executed passes to Earls in space, a stupid penalty when Racing were backed into their corner, Keatley kick, Farrell at the end there, etc, etc. Have to learn from this.

    Looked like an ankle injury.

Munster could have won that but they never really controlled the game for long enough.

Every time they attacked they looked like they would score.

    The game that got away.

    Lineout knock on?

Yeah it was almost like he wanted them off the field before there was another score from either side.

Really not good enough. Gutted. Some terrible decision making.

Every time we scored we gave up a score straight away.

That second last penalty was a joke though.

We're way off the top teams in Europe. A step backwards from last year in terms coming out on top in tight games.

    Tiernan O'Halloran
That was a game Munster should have won. They left one or two tries out there and the discipline wasn't good enough.

Looking at the tables a home QF isn't likely. Dammit.

Edit: May depend on head to head with LAR. If Ulster get a BP win it's gone.

Disappointed but tbp next weekend could get us home quarter

So need to beat castre with a tbp next week to top the pool

Honestly it's more than just one in just this game.

His standard of play is higher than it has been in a few seasons but he'll still kick an easy touch finder dead.

That was bankable, some unacceptably daft stuff on show from Munster.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

We really should have won but a lbp isn't the end of the world. It leaves Munster on 16 and Racing on 15. We have the better points difference over the two legs so Munster win the group with just a win over Castres no matter what Racing get against Leicester.

Another big positive for me was Earls, some clean ball and he could run amok next week in thomond.

They might sneak in as 4th seeds I think, if Ulster lose, then la Rochelle can only finish on 21. Put up a score next week and there's a decent chance.

Any sort of win at all against Castres will win the pool. A try bonus would help A lot towards seeding.
