What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?

Saw this on Reddit and thought it could be good here.

For me, it would be either a sales pitch for my software, a how-to for making Discord bots, or a presentation on tourism in Vietnam.

Margaret Atwood's speculative fiction or the culinary history of 19th century history, both of which are seared into my brain after writing theses on them last year.

I’m a teacher. Anything from either subject except maybe some LCHL topics as I haven’t taught them in years and the course has changed.

Lots of other things too. Anything I’ve an interest in so musical theatre, education in general, baby/child topics, trying to conceive.

Probably WW2. It's my most read/watched topic and I've visited a lot of sights.

I once gave a presentation on why not to make a presentation without preparation. I was still drunk from the night before and just read out a flyer that I found in my pocket.

    And I will now demonstrate...

Sadly, for me it would be 'The accounting profession from entry to senior level'.

I'd be the same, but if I was to get specific, it would be naval battles in WW2. I love me ships :D

That's how you got all the way up to senior level? Fair play.

I cut short the demonstration because I usually end up with egg on my face, or something like egg.

Sadly it would probably be something like the Game of Thrones family trees or quoting entire episodes of Friends. Don't know if I'd have 40 minutes on anything else, perhaps music of the 90s and how everything was so much better back then!

Jesus folks 40minutes with no preparation time.

I’d say most people couldn’t do it on any topic with no preparation.

Public speaking is tough when your prepared, but being thrown in at the deep end would collapse most people.

Really random but probably An all-encompassing history of Western Europe. I feel I could link the histories of the nations of Northern and Western Europe pretty well. My knowledge drifts a bit as we get closer to the modern day but only because there is so much information. It's the one topic I could form some sort of coherent point of view and narrative.
